    Heritage series small nozzle...

Thank you! So I’m not crazy! It came down to an area in my home (older house - has some original wood flooring that was bolted in place and that’s where the litter box is - large gaps between pieces and not always easy to vacuum the litter that falls in those cracks- using this gets everything...

    Heritage series small nozzle...

Ok... first off, I was wrong in my past post saying my collection is complete... I came across a Heritage II that has the 13” nozzle. It was $25 and I just couldn’t say no. It came with the shampooer and other basic attachments - everything quite dirty, but a polish for the vacuum and cleaning...

    511 accessories...

500 series Les, Yeah I’m discovering that the 500 series are far more addictive than the D80, lol! Also, the other oddities like the smaller nozzles on the Heritage series, etc. There’s a lady on Letgo about 5 hours north of me selling a 505 for $15... original bag, most original trim but...

    511 accessories...

I’ve been meaning to share some pics of the accessories of the beautiful 511 I was recently gifted. Been a bit busy the past couple weeks, but here you go!

    D80 accessories for sale

Just wanted to inform anyone who is looking out for an attachment set for a D80... on the app “Mercari” there is for sale a set for $42 + shipping (seller is in Lilburn, GA). Here are pictures of the accessories. I do not have any affiliation of any kind with the seller. I simply want to...

    Old Kirby Help needed

Shermaniac I agree with KirbyClassicIII, either a 510, 511, or 512. On the bottom of the unit, there (originally) was a serial number tag that would also indicate the model... is that still intact and legible? Regardless, it will still be a lot of fun to get it back to its original glory...

    Collection complete...

Princess/addiction... I think the Princess is an ‘80, but I’m not 100% confident on it, but reasonably sure. Yeah, I’m trying to tell myself that it’s complete, lol. I have the machines that I’ve been after for a long time, and am telling myself that I don’t need any more. So far (for 2 days)...

    Collection complete...

That’s awesome! I’ve always been fascinated with vac shops. There’s always something, no matter how small, that’s unique and hard to obtain inside them. The one here in town isn’t much to talk about, sadly, but I’ve never been in the work area either. This is my first Filter Queen machine...

    Collection complete...

Replies... Les, the one with the red plugs is a 518. The handle grip on the 511 is original. The VII I have off to the side, as I’ve used it for parts on another Sanitronic that I’m refurbishing to give to my dad. Completenutt: Thank you! I’ll be using them (though very lightly). I was in...

    Collection complete...

Some new machines which (for me) have made my collection complete. I’m still processing the incredibly kind and generous act of this person (you know who you are). I’m overwhelmed (in a good way)! All machines are complete with all attachments and accessories (those pics will come later). Her...

What's a reasonable price for a hoover convertible?

Josh... The Kirby in that picture is of a model 518, I believe were made starting in 1958. I can’t recall when production of that model ended. I also have a nice Dual Sanitronic 80, both complete with all attachments and Handi-Butler, etc. They are great machines even to this day! I have my D80...

What's a reasonable price for a hoover convertible?

Josh... Yes, they can be super clunky and heavy to carry... but here’s a pic... makes carrying them so much easier! Also, even though my experience isn’t with Hoover, I have to agree that eBay is insanely expensive when it comes to trying to find machines to add to your collection. As...

Extraordinary weekend... and some beautiful vacuums, too!

Hey! LXi, yes. Please forgive me, I’m more knowledgeable with Kirby than with Electrolux. I do have the owners manuals for both machines, though! My favorite part is in the manual for the LXi, where they feature a little girl vacuuming the cat, haha. Yes, it was polished when I received it. I...

Extraordinary weekend... and some beautiful vacuums, too!

Replies... 1: Thank you!!! 2: It’s surprisingly light. It’s super easy to pull around when cleaning and also quiet as a mouse! 3: I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it’s mine now. It’s an amazing machine and the fact that so much of it’s “core” is intact, original, and in...

Extraordinary weekend... and some beautiful vacuums, too!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was one of the best I’ve had in many years for several reasons, but on this site, let’s stick to vacuums! Over the weekend I obtained 3 beautiful machines, and I want to share with you all the most recent additions to my collection. This year has been...

    Sanitronic VII find

Thanks, everyone! Just wanted to say thanks for the comments! This machine is a little bit “Frankenkirbied” but not too bad, I’ve certainly encountered much worse, lol. It appears as though whoever replaced the bag, cord, bag topper tried to make it match. I’m trying to find the correct...

    Sanitronic VII find

So I was off work today and decided to go by one of the thrift stores in town and found this Sanitronic VII for $15. It was in good condition and works great! Metal fan in excellent condition and the cloth bag only had mild debris in it (I’m used to finding them stuffed). Carbon brushes appeared...

Kirby Split Second 1 & 2 pics and Questions

Flowbee! Oh gosh, I remember the flowbee! I also remember the commercial for it... if you sent in a money order, it was addressed to my home town, Albuquerque, NM. I used to think it was so cool that I was living in the city people got their flowbee from, lol! Anyhoo, yeah it was a super...
