Guess super glue and duct tape are out of the question? :) That sucks. Hope you get it fixed easily and quickly.

    Simplicity Vacs any good?

@electromatik, the TOL Simplicity Gusto and the TOL Riccar Immaculate have the exact same specs and even the same price. So in what way is the Simplicity the mid-range and the Riccar the high end? Heck even the Moxie lines up with the Impeccable model. Just curious. Thanks.

    Samsung Vacuums

Looks like the listing for $299 is gone.

    Samsung Vacuums

It is interesting looking. At $299 it should compete with the Dyson, Panasonics/Kenmore and some others.

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

That tri-star looks to be pretty sweet with that motor swap. Good job.

Help! Shopping for New Vacuum and Overwhelmed

@ctsooner, was there a reason for bag replacement since you were only about half full? How long have you had your sebo? Seems like that bag filled up rather quickly.

+1 on the canister. I too was an upright only until my current search.

    Stores use vacuum displays? GROSS!!

I would rather see some machines with dirt in them. We all know that these machines run better with clean filter/bag but that isn't really real world unless you have a bagless system (and you empty and clean the filter after every use) or loads of money (new bag after each use.... But then...

@floor-o-matic, does tri-star underrate their machines? I assume you are referring to the Tristar CS cleaner and their specs page says 86 inch H2O. I wonder what type of CFM this Tristar has. http://www.tristarclean.com/tristarcscanister/warranty-specs.cfm

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

I don't see anywhere on Sebo's site mentioning that the D4 has HEPA filters. It is endorsed by the british allergy foundation however so that must mean something. None of the filters in the D4 I played with today looked like HEPA type filters. It even states in Sebo.us D4 brochure that its...

    My New Aerus Vacuums

This vac is very clean and sleek looking... but is it tough? What happens if it tumbles down the stairs? Does the metal just dent? there doesn't seem to be any give like there is with ABS plastics etc that most other vacs are made of. Also, is there a long hose say 15/20ft or so that you can...

@nycwriter, have you got your Lux yet? Curious to see you take after using it in your own home and not in the showroom.

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

@blackheart, that mini power nozzle looks pretty much identical to the Wessel-Werk MEB160. Well except for the neck. It would be great to find those necks for various vacuums manufactures so you can buy aftermarket power accessories and have them connect up to your vacuum of choice with the...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

@ultimatevacman, That link to the go vacuum pet edition of the Henry still on has an air driven turbo brush not a separate motor driven power nozzle. I think the OP wants a motor driven power brush.

George CT, Maybe the Sebo D4. It has longer hose at 40ft and longer hose at 7 feet. Has 4 casters instead of three (however I don't think they are any larger than the miele casters so machine may sit at the same height on your carpet thereby have same level of difficulty to move around as...

@beko1987, WOW!! That is a heck of a restoration job you did in that link. Vac looks awesome. Seems like a ton of work though.

    Top Ten vacuums of 2012

Meant to say interesting the vast majority on that list are Miele and Electrolux, especially considering the large variety of brands that evacuum carries.
