Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

I understand where you are coming from, and see you know a lot about vacuums and Aerus in particular and respect that, however, I seem to have creative ideas for the direction of Aerus's future, rather than the diehard ways. ( What is the demographic for Aerus? Do you know? ) As a customer, I do...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

The sarcastic humor is always appreciated...its an appliance chat board, geez! relax.... anyone can comment and add to the chats. I like Aerus, but its ass backwards...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

re-read what you wrote prior... you made it sound like you get the supplies for free.... of course delivery would be free, why wouldn't it? But, no, I did not think the supplies would be free- I know you have to pay for them. I realized your typo... I still think you should just be able to go...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

Dan that's incorrect, that is how Aerus should work, but it doesn't! I called the number and salesman came over to deliver bags, hepa filter and clean sweep chips for $80.... Totally not free! never heard of such thing. If that was true, I bet there would be a many more people owning an Aerus...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

Futhermore, If you can wait and have the time to explore vacuums and wait to see what will come as new models that's a good idea. I do the same thing with cars and cell phones, my other interest. Subscribe to magazines, online forums, etc... But for now, as far as the high end brands go, I...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

Sometimes you might find a sneak peak or some images online, but most vacuum companies do a poor job of updating their websites and have difficulty understanding the concept of marketing and promotion through the internet and social media. Vacuums as an appliance, not like other products such as...

    Simplicity Synergy X9 or G9?

You can find Miele bags cheaper than retail price if you look around on the internet. I found two boxes of Miele bags for my canister for $15.... Simplicity is a quality vacuum, however, I find the Miele Upright more convenient, quieter and user friendly... a little more bulkier to some, that I...

    Simplicity Synergy X9 or G9?

I don't think the consumer wants to spend $800+ on a Simplicity TOL ,when they can get the same kind of vacuum with metal base plate, longer hose, swivel, no switch to change to tools...all for about $500-700. The Miele S7 models outsell.

    My New Aerus Vacuums

While I prefer uprights, I think the Aerus canisters are good and durable... I would not go by consumer reports- they favor value over longevity. The newest canisters by Aerus I think are better built and sealed. I would look into them over the Classic and Legacy.

    ORECK

Hershel I agree but it seems that certain corporations want to take the easy way out and produce overseas. Cheaper costs, but I don't think they really weight the fact that quality can go down which may or may not affect sales.

    9 Top High Tech Vacuums

Yes, the list is definitely high tech, however, I don't think the majority on there equates to long lasting quality. There is a line between high tech/eye catching and durable/reliable.... I in particular go for the durable more commercially build vacuums like Sebo and Aerus. Out of that list...

    ORECK

Many people are just not educated enough on what is quality, and what will last for your dollar. Its not just vacuums, its many other products out there which are produced cheaply, made to look good but eventually fall apart. We are still in a disposable society. (Made in China, buy it at...

    ORECK

Its all about increasing profits.... ...called corporate greed, churn out more interesting crap, fooling the average Joe and Jane into believing its an incredible product to again, increase profits.

    ORECK

I posted something about Oreck on another thread, but I see they are going bagless. I never understood bagless, as I feel you are just releasing the dust and particles back into the air around you when you dump the bin. Its pointless if your going to have to put the dirt in a bag anyway...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

If you really like the vacuum and it fits your needs than go for it! Maybe you should try without the electric hand turbo and see how that works out before spending $150 on the electric one. The air driven might suffice. Riccar is like Aerus when it comes to pricing, it seems there is a fair...

    Simplicity Synergy X9 or G9?

I could be wrong, but in my experience at least where I live, the Simplicity/Riccar dealers seem to only stock a few of the models (mostly mid-line) I think at that price point and dollar for dollar, customers wind up going to the Miele Upright. I have always been lead to the Miele by shop owners.

Made in the USA, does it matter? What is truly built to last?

I have noticed that with Oreck, some of its machines are made in China now... Is this another company on the verge of going China? Now they released a bagless vacuum cleaner..... Wait "bagless" isn't that the type they said is not good on they're infomercials. Interesting... so now the Magnesium...

Consumer Reports (March 2013) Vacuum Tests

Here we go..... You cannot use the consumer reports as the only source for finding the right vacuum cleaner. They do not even have all of the models, for example the Sebo D4 has been out for a while and its not on the list. I would use this as a guide, but more relevant is to research online...

    Simplicity Vacs any good?

I like the Simplicity mid and upper line canisters...but in the uprights, I think Miele is much better. Its quieter, has variable speed control, metal base plate, swivel neck, extra long hose without having to turn a switch to floor tools position. More convenient and for $300-400 less. I think...
