    Recommendations please?

The Riccar R25D and R25P have pretty good filtration through and through. Remember though that the online prices/MSRP for the Riccars is not the same as the MAP price and that dealers often charge $100-200 less than online. For example the R17 on Riccar’s website is $999 but the MAP price is...

Yeah it definitely makes a good blow dryer

    Bissell impulse buy

I had one of these I bought new nearly 4 years ago to use as a utility machine. I sold it this past summer as I found it to be way too noisy and it appeared to blow more air than it sucked. It’s almost as if they used a blower motor in it because the output of air would make the blinds go flying...

Riccar SupraLite R10Sand - motor running abnormally super fast

It isn’t, it’s a storefront but we do ship.

    Rebadges

What does mea at the end of the serial number stand for? I saw a robot one with that behind the serial number.

Riccar SupraLite R10Sand - motor running abnormally super fast

Just make sure you aren’t using the machine in the meantime. The fan will implode soon and likely take out the fan housing so you’ll be looking at an even more involved repair and more money out the window.

Riccar SupraLite R10Sand - motor running abnormally super fast

What I meant by the fan is probably the culprit is the fan may be causing the issues you are having. After taking a look at your video that is definitely the fan blade rubbing on the fan housing. Sometimes these fans warp over time and being your machine is about a decade old it makes perfect...

Riccar SupraLite R10Sand - motor running abnormally super fast

The R10Sand should take the serpentine belt the B014-0814 is the rubber stretch belt for the R10E/S models. Your motor may also be pulling too much current so you may want to check that. A key indicator of that is if the handle or cord get hot during use. The fan blade though is a likely...

    Forgotten Oreck Products

The XL Legend is a rarer model to come across. It’s a variant of the XL21 but it has a red color and a closed-looped handle that was not the helping-hand handle nor the regular comfort grip handle used on all XL21’s with the open-end on the back. If I’m not mistaken this was the only one to use...

    Kirby Avalir actually Sentria G10E?

@juju93 The belt lifter on the Sentrias are plastic as well. They’re just a shiny plastic that’s made to look chrome.

Is it worth getting a rainbow?

Thank you all for this information, it’s been quite helpful. When I use the single speed e series at the shop I didn’t fill the water much higher than the center peg because I was concerned I would be putting too much water in but good to know that I need to fill it past that. It stinks like dog...

Is it worth getting a rainbow?

That’s really good to know. I do prefer the looks of the E2 black of the SRX. I did notice there was a manual on rainbows website for a new style SRX power nozzle labeled “SRX 2023-“ and it looked just like the old E2 black powerhead.

Is it worth getting a rainbow?

Panasonicvac~ Thank you you have definitely answered my question perfectly. I don’t currently own a rainbow but maybe I’ll see about taking the gold e series home that got donated to my shop and run it around a bit at home to see if I really do want to get a newer one. I’m definitely interested...

Is it worth getting a rainbow?

Hey everyone, I have been considering purchasing a rainbow for several years off and on. I work in a vacuum store and recently I had a customer donate a complete E2 gold single speed unit. It runs great and has the aquamate with it and everything. I haven’t had much experience with rainbows for...

    The Riccar Vibrance has returned

I have definitely seen my share of the Symmetry series come in with bad front head housings. Mainly the brush roll eats out the ends of the housing and causes the machine to start “growling”. A lot of the customers who own the Symmetry’s are commercial churches, household cleaners, or people who...

    Vacuum cleaner size class configuration.

The one you have pictured for class 7 I can say that is a very very heavy vacuum! I have one at my vacuum store on the “salvage” side of the store and I was organizing over there one day and went to pick it up to move it and good gracious that thing made a Kirby feel light!

    Work vacuums!

Here are the pictures of my work machines. The Hoover is a CH53005 model. Apparently it’s missing the handle screw as I quickly found out. The simplicity is used on the sales floor and the Hoover in the back repair area. The simplicity is cordless.

    Work vacuums!

The vacuums we use at my work vary because I work at a vacuum store so often trade in machines are used until they are sold. In the back room/repair area we’re currently using a Hoover commercial. I’m not sure the model but it was brand new and got traded in because the cord had gotten a large...

    New machine…

By feeling them, the white brush strips have always seemed to be softest to me. The horsehair is a nice in-between where the red nylon ones that ship with the rest of the R10 series (excluding the R10E and PRG variant) are extremely stiff. But yes this machine will be incredibly handy to me and...

    New machine…

Finally after about a year of consideration I purchased myself a new Riccar Supralite cordless R10CV. I took home a Simplicity Freedom cordless demonstrator model this weekend to see how it would perform in my home and it did better than I expected. I was concerned the machine wouldn’t be...
