Well, I opened it up to replace the HEPA filter and this is what I found. What a mess. The filter is so clogged, I'm surprised it has any suction at all. The first picture is the filter, the second is the filter compartment. I'm just speechless.

Never ever use Pine Sol or any other pine oil based cleaner in the Rainjet or similar cleaners. They will have an adverse reaction with the plastics and damage them. This is directly from the Hoover Floormate book I have.

In my opinion The best vacuum to me is the one that you enjoy and like using. You may have the best vacuum in the world, but what good does it do if it sits in the closet because it is difficult or inconvenient to use? How much dirt is it picking up?
