    Speaking of the Hospital G...

Score! I saw that on CL because it was for sale in my city. For the price, it was a steal but I don't have time for machines like this that need considerable work/parts.

Which ones do you seem to use the most?

Electroluxxxx That looks like the Vita Vac I traded to Greg Palmer in January!

Anyone else not have a daily driver?

A select few get more use than the others There isn't "one" machine that gets used the most but there are probably about 10-15 machines (mostly canisters) in my collection that get the most use. If all I had to use was my Rainbow E2 Black, I'd be fine just using that.

Who would buy a MINT Elite (No, I'm Not Selling one.)

To answer your first question though I would consider buying an Elite if they made them again. They were better than the competition: (Eureka Bravo, Singer Poweramp, Dirt Devil Lite, etc..) but they were still loud, had terrible hose suction and didn't filter well (unless you use Y HEPA bags)...

Who would buy a MINT Elite (No, I'm Not Selling one.)

TTI owns the patents (if any) Up until a few years ago, TTI was making Elites in the US. I think the factory closed after that. I can almost guarantee you that TTI will never re-release old models of Hoover (with the exception of the Convertible for commercial purposes). They will not compete...

    Sad about the new PowerForce

Older Clean Views? They were constructed slightly better than the new models, but they do leak fine dust badly. A single cyclone, paired with two foam filters yields very high fine dust leakage. Most of the ones I've come across were trashed. The same goes for the Bissell Lift Off. The original...

    Modern Eureka scum...

These are very cheaply made. They don't filter well either. However, cut a synthetic HEPA bag to sit under the foam filter, and very little dust should be getting into the motor. I tried this a while back on one I had and it didn't restrict airflow much. For what they are, their cleaning...

    Shark's Oreck Counterpart?

What part of New York are you from, eureka1998? I'm from Western New York. Many collectors reside in the Western and Central parts of New York.

Just joined, thought I would share my small collection.

Very nice "little collection!" They all look to be very well taken care of. That bagless Eureka is actually a very good vacuum cleaner, despite the mess of the tower filter. I had one a few years back and it was very well constructed with impressive airflow and agitation. The HEPA filters on...

Two Royals are better than one..

Beautiful!! I love the all metal, fan first Royals!! I've had a few in the past and they are fantastic carpet cleaners. They are so much easier to handle than Kirbys.

How good of a machine is the Quantum Vac? I never have seen a thorough review done on one.

    Amway Model Timeline

I can be of some help. The ClearTrack was released in the early 90's. I think 1990 or 1991. I think the first CMS1000 was released around 1987. I believe around 1996 they were discontinued. I highly doubt Bissell makes them anymore.

What carpet cleaner do you use?

My Mom's 2001 Hoover Steam Vac Widepath It's a fantastic machine. My Mom paid 300 some dollars for it at Best Buy. I'm actually using it today to shampoo my grandmother's apartment's Berber carpeting.

    My Christmas Presents to myself!!

Thanks Mike! I am very pleased with both of them. Of the 300+ vacuum cleaners I've ever used, these are the most satisfying for me to operate. The new Rainbows are well thought out machines.

    Want to donate some vacuums

Correction I forgot about your flooring so in that case, the Eureka may actually be a better backup vac due to the brushroll switch.
