    Rainbow E Series Separator Stuck

I just bought an E-Series Rainbow off of Craigslist. It works perfectly and is in good condition, but the separator will NOT come off. I already took the nut off. I tried motor oil with no luck. I might try WD-40. I don't want to damage any components that are connected to the spindle. It needs...

    Westinghouse Unplugged...

I used to have one... I bought it off ebay. It came with two shot batteries so I got a full refund. I got a quote to have one rebuilt for $100- no way. I threw it away but I now regret doing that because my fantom wildcat needs a brushroll bearing and the westinghouse's is identical.

    Thrift store find pics.

Wow! You are SO lucky to come across so many machines at those stores, and to be able to actually GO out to look. I've resorted to ebay for most of my latest purchases because my parents are usually too busy plus I cannot drive on my own yet. The Elite's, Whirlwind's and Windtunnel's aren't...

    David Watters is gone.

I wish I could have met him It sounds like he was very knowledgable and had lots of gorgeous machines. To all his friends and family, you are in my thoughts. -Mitchell

A bit.... Mainly U.S history. World history doesn't interest me much. Vacuum history certainly interests me a lot! Be sure to email me. I can give you my cell number through there. Very excited to talk to you more and tell you my story! I'm sure my friend from Webster would want to hear about...

In addition... If you lookup "FantomFan" on vacuumland's search engine, you can see machines I have now and ones i've had in the past. I'm on facebook as well if you use that. Look up "Mitchell Krenzer" and you'll probably see my vacuums.

Wow! Another teenage collector in Rochester! My name is Mitchell and i'm 17 1/2 years old. I also collect vacuums and have seventy eight at the moment. I see you like the vintage ones too. I'm in Penfield. I also just met another boy seven months older than I am who also collects vacuums from...

Thanks! I bought the ebay one. It cost a couple more dollars but it has a picture (unlike amazon) so I know it's the right one.

    Hoover Model 750

Thanks! Is there any way to still get a light bulb for this? If so what style is it?

I actually did that, eurekaprince! The original nozzle was missing and the people I bought it from had a bunch of extra tools. This fit perfectly on it even though it isn't original.

    Hoover Model 750

Yea... I had to make it worth his delivery of it though. It beats the cost of buying on ebay. The cord is in good shape with no nicks, just a couple small cracks. I do have a Eureka f and g belt so I'll let you know how that goes.

    Hoover Model 750

Just got this last Friday.... The guy was clearing out a relative's house and found this in the attic. He sent me pictures and I immediately wanted to get it. It's a two speed Hoover 750 with the headlight (but no bulb.) The motor still runs beautifully. I need to figure out how to take out the...

    Eureka Powerline Gold Bravo

Incredible! I'm not a Bravo fan, but anything NIB is a find, especially at the price you paid! It probably would have sold for 20 times more on ebay. I wouldn't use it much, keeping this delicate machine as close to new as long as possible.

Four more beauties have joined the "cult." So glad to have these... especially the Cyclone XT!! Hoover Celebrity II Elite- saw this on estatesales.net a week ago. Called and inquired, was told it worked but the powerhead didn't. Came the second day of the sale and it was tagged at $40- half...

    2001 Vacuums

2002 I think the Cleanview came out around 2002. The early ones beltched dust even worse than the later models. Hoover was nearing the end of the line for household Elite models. Those stopped being produced around 2003, around the time of the Hoover Tempo's debut (originally called the...

I'd go back for that bissell! They were trouble prone and thus are rare nowadays.

    2001 Vacuums

Well... Most Americans would not see a Dyson until the following year (2002.) VERY shortly after 9/11, Fantom Technologies (maker of Fantom Vacuums) declaired bankruptcy and closed it's doors. Most baglesses at that time still used those messy tower filters. Hoover full-size uprights and...
