Saturday Evening Special:The Electrolux Ultralux Classic

Absolutely stunning! Nothing like a good Electrolux, but you can’t beat a NIB one!

    Sanitaire Vacuum

I thought the overall shape looked like the Victory series, but I’d never seen one with the controls on top. Glad to hear they beefed it up a bit for commercial duty rather than just slapping a badge on it.

    Sanitaire Vacuum

I’ve have never seen this kind of a Sanitaire, Is it a rebadge or a clone of something, or a unique design of its own?

    Kenmore Whispertone Self Propelled

I never knew there was an SP version of this vacuum. 3 motors must have made it a heavy beast. I did not know these were whisper tones either, I’ve only ever seen canisters with that label. The one I have is labeled Profomance cleaning system. Great machine, the wheels on the bottom of mine...

    The Electrolux Olympia Series Update

Looks like you have the whole set! And they are in gorgeous condition. I love Electrolux but that 80s brown is well, very brown. The 1205 color scheme I think is my favorite.

    Newest acquisition!!!!!

Those wind tunnels are always a solid machine. I don’t know why I enjoy those Red Dirt Devils from the 90s so much but they just are cool machines. Their Hoover counterparts were certainly better, given the fact that they far outlived them but if I see one of those dirt devils I’m picking it...

    Hoover Type C bags??

I was browsing some ads on Facebook and noticed this package of genuine Hoover bags, designed to fit Electrolux tank cleaners. Is this a one off thing or did Hoover make bags for other brands and sell them under their brand??

    Big Power

The big purple beast? Is yours like my purple one? I don’t have a huge amount of background info on it…I want to like this vacuum but it’s such a pain to clean. On the suction knob 1 and 2 is suppose to be for air filtration, it does not have a brushless motor though so it’s not designed for...

    Dyson DC17 Absolute Animal

Sorry to hear about the issues, for that price you would expect it to be better. Anyways, I have DC 17 animal too and I think it is one of their better vacuums. The brush bar on mine is quite noisy too, maybe it’s issue with that model. I don’t use mine often, those bristles are super stiff and...

Daily driver candidate acquisition (proteam 1500xp)

What an excellent Choice. A very well built machine that should give you many years of faithful service.

    Vacuum Cleaner Diversity

It must be a 90s thing…I always enjoyed the Eureka Victory as well. Looking at it now as collector it’s a ho hum machine but I always thought the shape was unique. Always a nostalgic vacuum to use.

    Vacuum Cleaner Diversity

Favorite machines I don’t really have a daily driver either, I probably have over 100 machines( for Better or worse lol) so I rotate them out and try to cycle through everything periodically. That being said there are some vacuums that I tend to grab more often than others and they are usually...

    Dirt Devil Platinum Brush Roll

Been trying to go through some projects and either get them going or get rid of them. Anyways I’ve wanted to get this beast going but it needs a brush roll. Part seems to be NLA nowadays. Just seeing if anyone here has a lead on one, or if this kinda expensive brush roll on eBay is in fact the...

    Hoover’s Design Adventures

Since there had been some discussion of the early 2000 Hoover’s I thought I’d share some of the more unusual Hoover’s that I have from that era. These certainly aren’t the only ones but I’ve managed to nab these units over the years. There is of course the infamous Z with its folding body and...

How was Hoover's twin chamber bagless system really?

There was also a screen between the two chambers that was suppose to keep large items out of the filter. If you were lucky the build up on it would fall off when you emptied it but often it had to be scraped. This set up did maintain airflow reasonably well. I think Hoover realized this was not...

    Singer C4

Cool looking machine! Love the vintage colors! The hose kinda looks like the pattern on the 1205 hose. Are you able to source bags for it? Is it a suck the nails out of the floor board machine or just mediocre suction?

    Vacation haul!

The Miracle Mate along with the other TriStar derived designs are pretty tough birds. Relatively simply design and high quality materials are a winning team here. As long as you can sort of the small things you should have a great machine to use. That bag was a nasty mess but the cloth bag...

    Vacation haul!

Nice haul. Looks like a fun variety of machines to play with. I’m pretty sure one of my old dial a matics has the flowers on it too. The power nozzle for the miracle mate is made by Lindhaus. If you had the bottom half of the Lundhaus pro upright it would be very similar to the MM PN.

    2 to 3 pin conversion

Has anyone ever seen a two to three pin conversion wire? Would be nice to use some of my other power nozzles on this silver king instead of the standard Douglas nozzle.
