Welcome aboard Santi! Even though you don't have carpeting, I think you would find a good mid-century tank or cannister vacuum cleaner quite useful. Electrolux, Air-Way Sanitizor, Hoover Constellation, Westinghouse, Silver King, Royal, or GE would all be good choices.

They show up from time to time on ebay, sometimes the hose itself, sometimes with a few attachments, sometimes a complete set. Also, Jimmy Martin (rugsucker here on Vacuumland) can probably help you.

Excellent work on the restorations, they're beautiful! And it looks like you have a nice collection with a good variety of machines.

Welcome aboard! I agree with Paul, there are indeed many LX related posts to be found in the forum archives. Being your Grandmother's LX makes it that much more special! My Grandmother's model 82 Hoover Constellation will always be a special part of my collection.

Royals would also fit into that category until they stopped making the metal uprights several years ago.

Nice Kirbys you have there! I have 8 of them myself, a 512, 517, D-50, D-80, Classic, Classic III, and 2 Heritage II's. Here is a pic of all of them except the Heritage II's. You'll also see a second D-50 in the pic, but my son took one of them with him when he bought his own home and moved out...

Looks like someone was working with photoshop or some form of AI! Doesn't look like any Kirby I've ever seen, and there never was a Classic II--they went from Classic, to Omega, to Classic III.

Here's a couple of my favorite brown & tan machines! Hoover 26 & 28! And since these pics were taken, I've installed a more appropriate looking replacement bag on the 26, similar to the one on the 28.
