Headlights -- Why most modern vacuums don't have them?

The Lift off Vax Cordless Air has an LED strip which is unusual for a cordless upright sold in the UK. Shame the normal Cordless Air doesn't feature it, though.

    Some Thoughts on Oreck Vacuums

I have a separate tool kit with my old Vorwerk VK130. There are plenty of tools but the whole process it takes to dismantle said vacuum off the floor head, attach shoulder strap to carry format, attach suction tube on the bottom, attach tube and then the choice of tool - well that takes me far...

Headlights -- Why most modern vacuums don't have them?

I hardly think adding a LED light strip to a PN head is going to increase size. Its the brand at fault who hasn't designed it properly to fit the lights and a light strip isn't all that heavy when adding to a PN in any regard. Whilst headlights or "dirt searcher" lights might be handy, I don't...

Still using the straight suction on the carpets? You must see this.

Well said Chris. The only Vax I have found that has the least aggressive brush roll is that of the Cordless AIR and previous Air uprights. I haven’t tried the current range. I may change one of the carpets I have to a more hardwearing texture. Backpack vacs dont tend to have power nozzles...

    Some Thoughts on Oreck Vacuums

"it's good for quick clean ups in between and great for pet hair." I agree. That's about as much as I used to use my old Oreck XL for. I'd still prefer one of these vacs to the plentiful cheap bagless uprights on the market, today. I dont mind living without a hose or on board tools. The...

    Eureka-Forbes Revisited

What a big difference the SEBO bag makes! This vacuum pulls in dirt like its going out of fashion! There is simply no need to have the highest 1100 watt motor power selected and I have already brought over the 32mm Electrolux BSL25 flat carpet floor tool to use in conjunction. It has an all...

    Eureka-Forbes Revisited

So, guess where I am for a few days... Thanks to Chris (Turbo500) and a few others from the certain group I'm on, I wasn't aware that the Electrolux design could be fashioned with other branded dust bags. The fact is that there are no longer any dust bags available in India to buy and use with...

Those bristles are the standard ones though - SEBO produce a harder strip in red bristles.

"Agitation is a must." Really? Yes and the SEBO brush roll in the Karcher PN is a metal roller with slide in bristle tufts compared to most brands that have a mix of plastic agitator beaters and brushes. The Karcher/SEBO looked like it was the PN to leave the least amount of dirt.

I used to use a tiny little drop of baby shampoo and wash by hand.

    Nacecare Vacuum

There we go! Ive only ever had ONE cylinder/can with a power nozzle - SEBO K3P. Good little vac but I wasn't taken with the weight of the PN at the end. To me, a cylinder/can vac should be lightweight all the way.
