Those three states just got a royal flushing, but not by a hoover, royal, or a Kirby. It's ok though, all the ones who stayed home with remorse can bring it back in the next mid terms. Nothing against anyone at or near Wright Patterson afb now. The Dayton area felt enough pain last decade...

Central vacuum installed in shed away from house-thoughts?

My CV power unit has been in my cold garage in winter for 22 years. It is on the same 120 volt circuit and draws 10.5 amps with the garage lights and opener. Never once has the breaker tripped.

It's a good vacuum. Their entry level line. Not a sealed system like the C2, and c3's though, but it filters quite well with an added hepa filter. I think David (Suckolux) has one. He said it's a bit cumbersome, but he likes it.

Central vacuum installed in shed away from house-thoughts?

Myles, the frost line is 6 inches below ground. It may not be an issue since you will be using dry pipes, not like lawn sprinklers. Expansion and contraction will be more nominal You can use a heavier gauge spec pvc with adapters from the house, and on or in the shed. Or you can keep them...

I'll do some research. It's a very handsome machine in incredible condition. Maybe a department or catatlogue store version of an early UK made Electrolux, or Goblin? A treasure, also like my war of 1812 sword made in Birmingham England in 1810 with Wooley's improved steel. It made it's way...

Noise was why I installed the power unit in the garage, not the basement. It does have a muffler also. This location also gave me a more central inlet location on the main floor. Our house is perfect to retire in. Not too big, not too small. No need to move to a condo. We remodeled our...

    central vac hoses

anything except the least expensive hose should suffice. They have less rigidity and the suction power is used compressing the hose, rather than getting to the attachments. I learned this from experience. I returned the cheap hose the next day.

Mine has all standard diameter inlets. I like having a total control hose that turns on the power unit, and powerhead. I don't have 120 volt inlets though. I just plug the hose power 120 volt pigtail in the wall next to the inlet. I use mostly one inlet for the entire main floor with a 35 ft...

heavy objetcs such as glass, pennies, et. collect in the bottom elbow before the power unit. They can't travel up the intake pipe. I disconnect it to clean them out on occasion.
