Rebuilding those motors is not hard. Just keep tabs on your nuts and bolts. Clean out both bearings, regrease the lower, and check the carbon length. The Henry Company has carbons in stock for the 28.

The plastic over the stem is broken away exposing the metal. Unfortunately it’s just not safe to use

Yes That is the same switch I have in mine…unfortunately it is very broken so I will have to improvise unless I happen across another one sometime soon.
