    UK Hoover Senior 652C?

Hi Guys Last weekend, at a car show I went to, I got given lots of vacuums, as I do every year (the forum/club know of my hobby and some people always bring some!) It was a mixed bag, I have a burnt out Hoover Dustmanagerless, a nearly burnt out Electrolux Vitesse full of broken glass, a...

    HELP NEEDED HOOVER JUNIOR U1036

The sellers were right, supressor failure is very common, don't forget the components will be knocking on the door of 40/50 years old! They are fine to be removed. Unless you use an old valve radio or TV, then you might get interferance with the machine running. Any kind of modern LCD TV will...

Hoover Constellation 852 - Stripdown, Refurb, (breakage) and repair

Hi Guys I recently refurbished my Hoover Constellation. It went well, apart from an issue I had with the motor. I drilled out the rivets holding the fancase bearing in place thinking they were normal bearings, but their not. They are long, tubular ones, which I have no idea what their called...

Dyson DC25 Post motor filter popping loose.

The clips are known to move with age and not clip back in again, I've replaced them with 100% success every time. Qualtex (in the UK) re-designed their post motor filter retaining clip to dial this out, and every one of the 4Home branded ones have been fine. If America has old stock this may...

    vintage Hoover Galaxy S3854 NEW-ISH

If that sells for that price I'm putting my Electronic Galaxy on eBay! Mines probably in better condition too, although the motor needs a tickle at some point to make it a bit smoother http://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,1893.0.html

    Dyson Small Ball?

That's a DC50. Just don't! I know a DC24 isn't the last word in reliability either but at least parts are available for a 24. You try finding a motor for a dc50 for £not a lot, or a brush roll. I have one, awful thing that really is very, very broken (but then it did only cost me £5...

    Washing a Hoover 262 Bag

Hi Folks. I've decided to get my 262 out of the loft for a thorough spa session. I remember taking it apart and sorting the motor out years ago when I first got it, but didn't do much else, so cosmetically, it's a bit pants. How is best to wash the bag? It's not perished, is quite...

    Hoover Vortex V2001 (June 2000)

That looks great. I saw that auction, are you going to strip that Turbopower down in the same way? That TP is damn rare, be careful with it! I'm amazed that vortex hasn't done it's motor in by now with all that dust! Mine was 70% cleaner when I got it yet the motor was knackered! Nice job...

Parnell TenTen (Eureka Canned Ham) switch required

I have a dilemma! As some of you may know, I have a Parnell TenTen, which has a broken switch. I did hard wire it to the mains cable so it ran, and then sort of forgot about it as it languished in my mums loft. I'm working my way through my existing vacs, rather than buy more, and it has...

A Very Poorly Written "Article" Regarding The Hoover Vortex

A cut up dyson sponge filter is a great upgrade to the original 'filter' I do like mine though, it does perform well on carpets, certainly has an 'Acivator' feel to it, shame the airflow isnt up to much http://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,1346.0.html

    these are disgusting

Ah you cant beat a good job lot. I've gone off the turquoise DC07s though for the reason highlighted by your scrap pile, those cyclone handles are just so damn fragile! Is that a DC04 Marie Curie I spy at the back of the line too?
