    Dyson DC28C

Yes, sorry, to clarify, the flat out head (I think) is awful, and the wheels on the machine (that will need to come off to access the cord rewind so that can be removed to access the motor and replace it) Look forward to the video though!

    Dyson DC28C

At least it hasn't got the horrible flat out head... The rear wheels look like a pain to remove to get to the motor, I don't look forward to repairing those in a few years time!

    Electrolux ZA65 - Hose help

I need to boiling water the tool end of the hose to at least turn the rubber grip around as it's upside down. Sadly the hose is off and in the bin, but I can now put a plastic hose on and at least use it!

    Vax New Wave 1300

It was your video of the black one that prompted me to get this one Roger! It's the sort of machine that, even though I know it's ultimatly not very good, its a peice of history, and interesting enough to have a punt on! I did a brief bit of vacuuming yesterday and whilst the suction isnt too...

    Vax New Wave 1300

Thought I'd try to make a habit of posting up here again! Did a 40 mile round trip at lunchtime today to pick this up! Have always secretly wanted one ever since they first came out, my mum entered a competition to win one, which sadly we didnt, and she bought a JMB peice of hell from...

    Electrolux ZA65 - Hose help

Well that's interesting that it could be done. Am happy to destroy the ruined hose to fit a plastic one and get the machine usable again, don't suppose you have any pointers on where to start so I don't loose a finger or anything do you?

    Electrolux ZA65 - Hose help

Hi all I picked up a nice Lux 65 from ebay last week Works brilliantly, is lovely and smooth and soft, but, as usual the hose is shot. Are the hose ends removeable on these? Initial look says no, but has anyone ever done it before? Doubt latex lining would be easy to do, are there any other...

Basement find - Hoover vintage model

Its a shame the sound is muffled on the video, but it doesn't sound bad, just dry! New brushroll bearings and a belt would make it sound 70% better, new motor bearings should sort the other 30% out. Happy to send you some if you wanted? Don't know what vac spares are like in France...

Basement find - Hoover vintage model

Oooh lovely, will have a listen when I get home from work (just gone 5pm here in the UK, half an hour to go!) The headlight works though! It will smell very dusty if it's been sat for years with a full bag. You can take it off the machine, undo the clip at the bottom to seperate it from the bag...

Basement find - Hoover vintage model

That's the only thing about mine that's poor, the very faded lens. It must just be different batches of plastic ageing differently, I've seen older 652s with perfect lenses! Hooverfind, any chance you could post a video of it on youtube so we can hear the noise? My money's on it needed new...

Whew! I am not the only one that likes Miele vacuums!

In the UK, Miele are pretty much the best you can get, along with sebo. I have an S5111 as a daily driver and I keep looking for something more fun or vintage to replace it and I've not found anything yet!
