Beautiful Kirby! Love the Sanitronics!

I've always been a Kirby guy...but I'm really getting into Hoovers lately.

Purchased this from another member on the board yesterday. It shipped today and I should have it by Friday. He was only asking $20. Great guy to deal with. Can't wait to get it! Will post more pics when it arrives!

I am looking to buy/trade for a Hoover Convertible. Not too picky on the machine. Just want something that runs good. Thank you!

This cleaner is in mint condition. No wear at all. And I tried the RD Eureka belt. It will ride too high on the pulley as soon as you turn it on.

My experience with Hoover has not been a gpod one. I think I will steer away from them and go back to Eurekas and Kirbys.

It spins freely

They're plastic. I literally used the new brushroll for the first time yesterday and it started doing this immediately.

It is pretty tight. But I've always thought the convertible blets are tight. I'm use to the RD belts for the Eurekas. Would pics help? Id be more than happy to post some this evening.

So I went by the shop today abd he gave me a new roller and a pack of new belts 44783. It is still getting extremely hot. When I rub my hand over the new belt, small pieces of rubber collect on my hand and its almost too hot to touch. I checked.the diagram and I am installing them correctly...

I would trade anything in my collection for one of thes. And as for the Kmart discussion, we still have two Big Kmarts and I shop there often. I'm Anti-Walmart.

I lived in Freeport Bahamas for 3 years back in the mid 90's. The condo I lived in came equipped with the same vacuum, identical to it. Always wanted another one.

Its worth putting the money into. I have a 517 that I use regularly. I love the shakeout bags because I despise disposable ones...too costly. Beautiful vacuum. Kirby is the best. You cannot go wrong.
