Just a little update...a temporary fix until a new handle bail is found. I was tired of not being able to use my convertible. A brace, 2 screws, and two nuts. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but it makes my beloved Hoover alive again.

Ok, here's an unusual fix needed. The actual handle on this convertible has snapped on one side. What would be the best method to fix it? Or can it be repaired. I wanted a convertible for so long and it took me forever to get this one and then this happens. So upsetting! Any help or ideas are...

Most favorite...Kirby, Eureka, and Hoover. Great machines and such fun to use! My least favorite...Dyson and Oreck. I also do NOT like canisters or tanks. I only collect uprights.

I am all about vacuums, my wife on the otherhand loves vintage typewriters, but we support each other in our hobbies.

I had the same problem with my Hoover Decade 80. But I have a Convertible model 1010 that performs great. I've always had better luck with Eureka uprights.
