Need fans and fan housings for early 'lux Silverado motor

AE fans are different I’m pretty sure the fans and fan hosuings are different on the AE than the Silverado. I had to replace the fans on a model S some years ago and they were different than on the 1205 and model L and later models. I do have a Silverado that needs a motor so if I can’t fix...

    Road Salt

I don’t recommend A fine coat8 g of the slat will likely come off and cost the metal parts and cause some corrosion eventually. If you have to vacuum up salt…I’d use a cheap plastic vacuum..perhaps a trash rescue model. Jon

First images of my NIB Electrolux model L!

Long live the model L These are amongst Aerus/Electrolux’s longest lasting models because of their simplicity…so little to go wrong and easy to fix if anything goes wrong…switch…easy fix…wheels…still available aftermarket…handle…can be replaced via a leather strap or old belt cut to fit with...

    Electrolux Grand Marquis

Haha! Love the slogans! “Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick!” Surely this slogan could apply to Electrolux as well. So easy to use and easy to convert from a rug and floor machine to use the attachments. The see no dirt, smell no dirt, touch no dirt disposable dust bags make emptying the...

    Favorite Color On A Vacuum

I always liked… When Electrolux introduced the Super J. It was at the height of the 70s glam era where harvest gold and gold decor was in and the coloring coincided with Golden anniversary of Electrolux. How fitting and fabulous! The metallic gold was really a beautiful machine I thought when...

Will 'lux plastic and metal wands interchange?

Plastic wands I have had the plastic wands by shop vac with the ribs on them and the plastic wands Electrolux provided with the earlier discovery style uprights. I do find the Electrolux ones are thicker and sturdier but nothing beats the metal ones they made. Ultimately if one wants light...

    Bare floor friendly vacuums

Vintage Trivac Electrolux made the Trivac. An Electric Broom style vac. The nozzle was ok with wheels but it can be removed and a flip over combination rug and floor took by Electrolux can also be used. This way nothing but the bristles will touch the floor and emptying is easy with the...

Dirt Devil Broom Vac (thrift store find)

I had one Found on someone’s trash. I felt the switch could Have been a better design that could have been foot operated and while the telescopic handle was nice especially when one needs to take a vac in the car and has a tight space…I always felt there were some definite design flaws with it...

First images of my NIB Electrolux model L!

Nice Nice to have a model L nice and new. This one is a mid run real version because of it still having a PN-1 but it has the second generation electric hose. Also it’s a mid run because of the manual. It was changed later. What year is the copyright on the manual? That should give you an idea...

    Domestic Vacuums in Commercial Settings

I’ve noticed… Same but in office buildings where there is usually a whole janitorial staff there are the heavier duty commercial machines. They need the long durable cords snd the general durability of the commercial machines and they usually have the ones with ether big magnets on the front...

    Aerus Lux Classic

How do you like… The rainbows in comparison to the Aerus? I had a chance to get one at Goodwill but it looked very cumbersome to use so I decided not to bother. I had a few friends who had them long ago and they did like them. To me they seemed quite unusual. I also came across a Filter...

Will 'lux plastic and metal wands interchange?

Yes provided The plastic wands you have are the typical non electric ones. The Lux Legacy and other models used a plastic wand with electrics in it. That will not work but from your description I do not believe you have that system since you mention the hose handle is male. The genuine metal...

    Considering something cordless and easy

My dogs constantly bring in grass from the yard so I’m having to clean two sizable rooms daily or at a minimum every other day. Annoyed with pulling out my Electrolux canister or the Shark rocket corded that often. Want something lighter and easier and cordless. Hence thinking some sort of...

    Bare floor friendly vacuums

Might want to try… A shark with the duo clean. Apparently they do a marvelous job on bare floors because of the two types of rollers and the multi speed options. While not nearly as upscale of a product as the others mentioned above in the thread. It’s just an observation I’ve noticed of people...

    Aerus Lux Classic

Glad to see Someone purchasing and giving a stellar review of the product. While yes the motors are single stage clearly they are powerful. I’m happy with the Lux classic and Lux Legacy both of which were finds Goodwill and Habitat respectively so no doubt your brand new machine is even better...

Electrolux 1205 - Motor Brushes Needed

Interesting reading…. I went on to read the second page of the article and it really shows how they were dedicated to making a quality product and the expense they went through to upgrade the product. I certainly feel better about the cost of those Electrolux’s at the time. This goes to show...

    Electrolux Grand Marquis

Agree I do agree. Much better to repair so waste is reduced. Throwing away a worn out part is much better than throwing away the entire unit. And the whole concept of “throwing away” something just bugs me…it just gets out somewhere else on this earth, NOT DELETED. If I do have things that need...

Contemplating a little Electrolux upright project

Nice Yes it’s nice to at least get one of the two fixed up nicely. If one power nozzle cover is in better condition than the other I’d keep the one that is in better condition for the completed repaired vacuum. You might need to look at the bag switch that could be the problem with the bag...

    Electrolux Grand Marquis

Well… The Electrolux canister is by far one of my favorites. I grew up with them and consequently there are many among the family. I really love mine, and the combination dusting brush and contourable upholstery tool and the combination rug and floor tool are among my all time favorite vacuum...

New Shark rocket duo clean corded.

Well The space is small enough and again, it shouldn’t be something that’s used for regular cleaning as a crew should have their own supplies and equipment and if it ends up that is what happens and it craps out soon, then I’ll suggest a getting an Aerus or Prolux upright (nearly identical to...
