    Miele S8

@ cue003 I got a tip that Riccar is due to release a new redesigned TOL canister toward the end of this year. I'm holding out to see what it will offer. I just hope it will be even better than the Immaculate that is offered now.

    Miele S8

Silly Extention Cords... Hummmm...if people are buying extension cords for their vacuums (hint, hint), then manufactures should pick up on the que (like Sebo, Riccar) and just make the cords longer. You don't have to extend the cord all the way but it's nice if was there to use.

    Miele S8

Good Point... George...you hit the nail on the head. If Sebo can do it with a 40 ft cord (I don't know of any canisters that can match that length) and Riccar has a 28 ft cord (almost 30)... Then it's totally feasible that other manufactures can do the same. The short cord length is just a...

    Miele S8

Yes NYCWriter...It's a deal breaker Maybe I'm spoiled by all my past canisters having a cord that was ample enough to let me plug it in at one end of the room and have the length to reach the other side. The way my finished attic is designed, the only easily accessible outlets are located at...

"Uh, mom, we need a new vacuum cleaner"

That's a shame and pretty gross to boot. You'd think changing a bag was brain surgery.

    Miele S8

@ GM1982 I don't own an extravagant house, just a Cape Cod style home. Of course I'm going to bash what is supposed to be one of the best vacuums you can buy right now that can't do more or even the same as my Kenmore Progressive. It should offer MORE than a Kenmore Progressive canister but...

    Miele S8

@ GM1982 I have to disagree with you George (GM1982). Owning the Capricorn (not at all much different than the S8 UniQ top of the line). This thing is not big enough at all. The Capricorn and UniQ have the EXACT same "operating radius"...33 ft. (cord end to power nozzle end) (Miele wont even...

    Miele S8

It's no better than the Capricorn I own the Capricorn and there are NO improvements between the two. Save your money and don't buy a Miele. They are meant for European homes, not for American homes.

    My New Aerus Vacuums

Anything is better than Miele... Even though I don't own a Platinum I can say for sure they are better then the Miele Capricorn. On another note I hear from a source that the Riccar should be coming out with new canisters by the end of the year (I so hope).

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

I hope so Peter I'm really hoping Riccar/Simplicity will fulfill all my wants and needs in a vacuum but I want it full sized with full sized accessories (along with long cord, hose, on board attachments). I can't wait to see what they've come up with. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

What are the minor features gain... George, what features would one gain with the Sebo D4 over the Aerus Platinum?

    ORECK

Daniel Ohhhh Daniel...I LOVE as many tools as possible on board a canister...to each his own. I love being able to take the vacuum anywhere in the house and BAM! everything is right there with you. No having to run upstairs to grab an attachment. And I like my attachments to be full sized...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

Vacuum Convention Week of 2/10 - 2/16 I told the vacuum guy I saw for the Riccar Immaculate, that word on the internet (vacuum forum) is that there should be new models coming later this year for the Riccar and I'm gong to hold off at this time. He told me he actually will be attending a...

    ORECK

You couln't pay me... I don't like bagless vacuums. It brings me back to the Electric Broom with it's dust cup and that was pretty gross to empty. Count me in for bagged anytime.

ohhhh.... Looks like I may have to wait and see if Riccar comes out with new (hopefully) even more improved models. Thanks guys!

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

I'm getting close to a decision... I'm heavily leaning toward the Riccar Immaculate Premier. While the vacuum dealer I went to didn't have any Immaculate's for display, he had a 1500P that could play with. He also showed me the Sebo D4, which he personally likes. But once I saw that tiny...

Consumer Reports (March 2013) Vacuum Tests

Well guys, the results are in for Consumer Reports vacuum testing for March 2013. As you may know, I'm in the market for a new canister vacuum and once again Kenmore tops the list with its Intuition (28014), followed by: (bagged canisters) 2 Kenmore Progressive (21714) 3 Miele Callisto (S...

Advice, looking for the BEST canister (Unhappy w/Miele)

Do I bother looking at Kenmore? Is the Kenmore Intuition on par with Aerus Guardian Platinum or Sebo D4? I think Kenmore is the only vacuum with everything on board which I love that convenience.
