@ ctvacman Thanks for the invite to Newington, I don't know if I'll make it up there but thanks nonetheless.

    Tacony Experts

Thanks for the insight guys... I didn't even know about the sewing machines so all this info. sheds some light on why Tacony has two lines of vacuums. Another question... How come when I contact the Riccar web site with questions are they deferred to the Riccar dealer in my state, instead of...

    Tacony Experts

As I inch ever more closer to getting a Tacony vacuum (Riccar Immaculate Premier Canister), I just have another question...why two lines of the exact same offerings of vacuums? Simplicity and Riccar offer identical machines except for names. It's not like it's a regional thing. I'm lucky...

Suction: Up the side or straight up the middle?

Picture Credit, Rob...(thank you) Yes Rob I have to give you credit for posting that picture and thank you. I did an image search in Google to explain what I was trying to get across and your image was the best. So many different views on what people think in regards to suction efficiency...

    My new baby Moxie

NICE! Congrats on the (Simplicity) Moxie Wayne! I'm getting this close to getting a Riccar myself. How long is the hose on the Moxie? How do you like the on board tools?

Suction: Up the side or straight up the middle?

What's everyone's view on this? I'll see a upright with the suction hose/air port on either end of the beater bar or it favors the right or left side significantly. Some even have the suction port right up the middle (pretty much canister power heads suction ports are right up the middle)...

i finally got the vac of my dreams

Congrats Congratulations...I hope you have many years of excellent cleaning.

    Which would you choose?

Do yourself a favor... FORGET the Miele and get a Riccar/Simplicity. Miele has TINY TINY tools that are pretty much useless and short cord amongst other shortcomings. I made the Miele mistake and now I'm looking at Riccar (full size) and also considering Lux Guardian Platinum. Vacuums that...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

Of course I want Riccar/Simplicity (Tacony) to do well. But this isn't the vacuum for me. So I'm still up in the air if I should get the classic Riccar Immaculate Premier or keep looking. Maybe there was something at the VDTA I might be interrested in. Do we as non-dealers ever get to see...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

About "non-kink" hoses They really can't kink anymore because most manufactures have smartened up and made 360 degree swivel connections at either the wand end and or the canister end connections. Or they actually are able to turn freely with in the connections at both ends. So with that in...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

What's witht the type of hose? The hose looks like it's made of the same material that's used in Miele's (and some other vacuums). The hose has a lot of "spring" to it and no weight which makes it bump into things (plants on tables, TV, furniture) while you vacuum. Sometimes making more of a...

    New Career, New Cleaning System

Hoovers were the best. Hoovers were the best. I can't believe how Hoovers are not the number one vacuum in America anymore. They were so innovative with their models back in the day. I miss that.

Any Word on NEW Riccar Canister? (getting close to end of year)

Here's the new canister... A thread was started here with images of the new canister coming from Riccar/Simplicity. http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?23777_72

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

@ Durango159 Well at least we both can agree on something. It would be totally awesome to see a modern day Dimension 1000 with the features you mentioned (quick connect wand system, better filtration and rubberized wheels on power nozzle). I'd also like to see natural bristles (horse hair)...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

I'm not a "Retro" type of guy... @ Durango159 Rob...I take really good care of my appliances and to this day have a working Hoover Dimension 1000 (my first "electronic" vacuum). I've never had any problems with circuit boards on any thing I own. My whole house is surge protected and my...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

I knew it... @ dysonman1... I knew it couldn't replace the Immaculate/Impeccable or Moxie/Gusto. Thanks for clearing that up. I still think the "Wonder" is butt ugly, but may I ask...who is Riccar's demographic with this vacuum? I ask because it just doesn't fit in with the line up with...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

@ electromatik Ok...I see what you mean about the "accessory tool storage" as Lux calls it. But I'm talking "Under The Hood" storage like the Riccar Immaculate or Impeccable store FULL sized tools (under a door but above the dust bag). Even the Kenmore Progressive stores ALL it's tools...

Brand New TACONY Canister - the Wonder!

@ gm1982 Yep I think you're right about the Aerus Platinum Canister, it offers a lot and very smart looking. The only thing...no on board tool storage. Heck the Immaculate or Impeccable offers more than the forth coming Wonder/Prima and they look better doing it. It seems like the...
