    Unusual Craigslist finds

Sadly any support for the AirTec is gone too. It's an Airway Princess "clone" and while the gent who owned AirTec bought all the tool dies and started his own company and made great machines including poly bags, he's in the last two years closed his doors. There might still be some suppliers...

'Say Goodbye To Big Corded Vacuums'

I'll stick with my corded KIRBY's and Numatics any day over a battery. I run a vacuum 2-3 hours daily and can't think of any cordless machine that can handle my needs! Greg

Best Hard Floor Attachment of ALL Time

Kencart is referring to the bare floor tool from older Compact brand vacuums prior to the change in ownership to the same company that owns Aerus. The Kirby tool he's referring to is the one sold from the 560 series (which initially was an add-on),through the Heritage II series. Kirby's name...

making a kirby sanitronic head fit other machines

4 row brushroll Kelton! Sorry I didn't see your posting. Les gave you the answer and as an upgraded member you can use the in-house messaging to talk with Bill. He still has a limited # of brush rolls for sale. Price is equivalent to Ebay. Greg

making a kirby sanitronic head fit other machines

It's true! I ordered my Heritage II with both heads and prefer the 13 inch head, especially now that it has a 4 row brushroll.

Anyone know anything about this Electrolux?

Fun vacuum! I've had a few! Bags are almost impossible to find. Delaers don't support this machine anymore!

    Door to Door Vac Prices

I can attest to the price of Lux 1205 in 1969 in Tacoma Washington. My Mother paid $213.00 for the 1205 with the PN, with the strap on hose cord, though the machine already was set-up for the newer style hose....I never really liked it. Wasn't a G! Greg

    The Olympia Era

The 1453 was like the Model L was to the Model G. It too came with a cord halo on the back , and the cordwinder was an optional add-on. Great restore job! Greg

Filter Queen 75th and M360 (black) airflow losses

Are Airstorm/Patriot vacuum even made anymore? All I can find are tools and bags on line.

Gabriel! Did you notice that he ONLY joined VL on Sunday? He's someone I'd not do business with and I've been buying and selling machines for over 20 years! Greg

Who makes Sears' replacement attachments now?

The only source I know for the tools we know from the 70's through the 90's or so is from Hayden Central Vacuums of Canada. Ted owns the tooling for them!

    Where do the attachments go??

My Kirby attachments are used daily in cleaning homes here in Wilmington! They reside in a blue Tradition "briefcase" and I love it! Since I'm over 60 and have used Kirby's all my life, I know from the old manuals and use all the combinations I can make! But yes, I've found many attachment...

Just got new carpet: some worries

What vacuum to use! Broomvac! You overlooked the most important posting in this thread! You have a manufacturer's warranty and if using the WRONG vacuum on your new carpets damages them, well, you're out of luck! Your carpet retailer/installer should have left you a warranty booklet...

I remember you now! You went at us all about a year ago about adding more inlets! I've just looked at the Budd website. If you are so happy with a Budd central vacuum, upgrade to their biggest unit! The power will be outstanding and you won't regret the upgrade! You talk about having...
