    Sigma Seven Vacuum In Memphis

The Sigma is much prettier in chrome….. But I do love this one in turquoise - with a Vorwerk power nozzle. Sadly, it’s sold.

    Sigma Seven Vacuum In Memphis

That explains why some of the elements of this one look familiar.

    Mystery Made In Germany

Very cool! I love the German website. I saw their version of a Convert-o-Vac clone.

    Sigma Seven Vacuum In Memphis

Didn’t Switson make the Fairfax? It looks like a variant, possibly even the Filter Magic.

    Eureka Tank Vacuums

Sanitaire tank Looks like they were positioning themselves to go after Electro Hygiene, considering the name, styling, “germ trap”….

Why is it taking Kirby so long

The air purifiers were a distraction….. Seems like they were just a way for the salesman to get his “foot in the door” and show you the vacuum. Kirby salesman always had a more direct, full frontal approach to gaining access to your home. I’ve heard the stories…

    Windsor Versamatic VSE 1-3

Split hairs all you want, it’s still a great vacuum… It’s definitely worth hanging onto, especially since it’s a Sebo built Windsor and not a Karcher built Windsor. Since Windsor Industries became part of Karcher Group, shop owners and vacuum users alike have been unhappy with the build quality...

    Windsor Versamatic VSE 1-3

I don’t believe that this is the one from the late 1970’s The very first Versamatics didn’t have a carpet height adjustment and yours does.

GE Commodore Vacuum with powerhead (Looks like from Japan)

Sanyo and Panasonic lookalikes It’s just as mind boggling as that little egg shaped machine from the 70’s and 80’s that both companies sold. [this post was last edited: 9/7/2023-14:06]

    Filter Queen Optima

Emerald Princess on eBay looks just like the Optima The motor/lid assembly looks identical to the Optima. I’m so confused...

GE Commodore Vacuum with powerhead (Looks like from Japan)

That’s a direct-connect wire setup on the hose handle The only direct connect I ever saw on a Panasonic was after their canisters became Kenmore clones. Perhaps this is another Japanese brand?

    Forgotten Bissell Products

The Anna It’s a wonderful machine. Probably would be the contemporary crown jewel of anyone’s collection.

1980-1995 Royal (All-Metal) Upright Model Chart

I’m still looking for a Royal I’m not sure which model had the Adjust-o-Rite, toe adjustment on the rear wheel and also the lower amp motor. Every one that I’ve found has the bigger motor and I don’t want one of those screamers.

    Barn fresh Eureka D272

Polisher brush roll… Didn’t Eureka make one for the Automatic when it first came out in the 50’s?

What happened to the UK members?

Instant gratification doesn’t live here… I think that the some of the ones who become most dissatisfied are expecting shorter response times to their posts. We all post with anticipation of a response. It feels nice and it’s usually meaningful. This forum has begun to have a more delayed...

1205 in srink wrap on ebay loook

Power nozzle The neck is a different color. Those early ones with the blue hood had a neck either made of metal, or blue plastic. I was really surprised to see so many of the blue ones on eBay with a white neck, so I guess it’s a common wear and tear item. My grandmother bought her 1205 the...

1205 in srink wrap on ebay loook

The vacuum itself looks great but….. The power nozzle has been repaired, the hose and box are not original and we don’t know if it even comes with the electric wand for the power nozzle. Definitely not worth the asking price.

    Making old vacuums clean carpets

Back to “Making old vacuums clean carpets”….. Today I saw the Perfect power nozzle for the first time. A friend of mine has been selling them in his shop. He uses them to upsell with a straight suction canister if a customer returns with buyers remorse. I was really impressed with the way it...
