Whats so rare about Hoover Innovations?

Didn't the US also have the Hoover Sovereign? I vaguely seeing a beige one on Tom Anderson's thread when the Hoover Vault was closing up.

    Rainbow D2 insulation

The foam insert was only used in the chocolate D2 before the D3 was introduced. I've attached a link below to where you can purchase one. https://www.rainvac.com/rainbow-vacuum-parts/d2/cap-assembly/cap-insulation-d2

    Time to organize ,etc...

John That's the same Concept Two Electronic that I picked up for free at a local vac shop. I never knew they existed with a control slider. I always knew of the ones with the lighted display. Are they hard to come by? I need to replace the needle bearing on the belt side of the motor and find a...

    Super sweep 18

HA I won that thing and sent it back because the headlight cover was damaged in shipping. In the original listing, it was the cover was intact. The moron used bags of paper shreddings instead of properly wrapping it with bubble wrap or packing paper. Seller offered to find me a replacement...

    Hoover Caddy Vac model U5134-900

Yep That's a Caddy Vac alright. Check the fan and make sure there's no chipped blades. That unit should have the 20 blade fan which didn't break as much as the 7 blade ones. Otherwise, your motor bearings are dry.

    Johnson wax vacuum

Are you referring to the Vectron bagless upright? That is the unit that would eventually become the Fantom Thunder. You can either use Hoover 012471AG (Dial A Matic) or Dirt Devil Style 4/5. If I were you, I wouldn't use it for daily vacuuming. The machine is quite collectible these days and...

    ISO Hoover Elite Hose End

I'm looking for the machine end of a Hoover Elite hose as pictured below since the locking tab has cracked off.

    Restored Westinghouse Upright

Thanks again to everyone for the kind words. I have some cloth covered wire on its way for it as I'm not too crazy about the Oreck Magnesium's cord. Looks too generic.

    I'm such a vac addict...

I just rebuilt and sold one of those on eBay a few months ago. Very nice machine. You also appear to have the current style fan (instead of the grey one that always shatters) and the black brushroll that uses ball bearings instead of sleeve ones.

    Restored Westinghouse Upright

kirbyklekter If you're referring to picture 4 in the upper right corner, that is the rivet used to hold the bag collar into place. Think of the three mounting lugs on a Kirby for securing the emptor. This has one.

Kirby Legend II/Kirby Heritage Power Switch

That link you posted is for a Classic Omega/Classic III and will NOT work on the Legend II.

Kirby Legend II/Kirby Heritage Power Switch

Les. What are you talking about with the button vs the assembly? It is one assembly as shown below. There are no serviceable parts in the power switch.

    Hoover PortaPower ReBranded as Oreck

TTI has owned Oreck since 2013 after they filed for bankruptcy. That machine was bundled with Oreck uprights WAY before the Buster B was even a thing.

    RARE Miele SEB234 Corded Powerhead

That looks to be a stadard SEB236 but with a connector added for wands that weren't electric. If you look closely, that cord could be disconnected.

    David Oreck

So what was the first Whirlpool lightweight upright? The CVR1000? Also, if the design failed for Whirlpool, why were they making the unit in the video below in the 70's?

Kirby Legend II/Kirby Heritage Power Switch

The part number for that switch is 110584 which has recently been discontinued. Your best bet is to call local vac shops or even a Kirby dealer if there's one in your area. Otherwise, I'm sure someone on here has one to sell you.

    Kirby model 2C help needed

VacMadMan I never thought of using the inner side of those wheels. They're aftermarket and I can still get them from a vac supplier. They would've replaced the rear wheels of the Classic 1CR, Omega, & Classic III.
