    Cheap Rainbow.

I got two of these for free from a vacuum shop that was closing. Haven't had the chance to mess with them though.

    Aerus/Electrolux Motor Ring Needed

I'm currently replacing the motor in an Epic 6500 and I need the motor support ring. It bolts to the motor and then screws into the housing that mates with the cord reel. As you can see, it's broken. I have also called Aerus dealers and they told me the part is discontinued.

    Replacing Oreck handle

Both cords are directly wired to a circuit board that contains the power switch. I can't remember if the board slides through the handle or if you have to disconnect the cords. I haven't done one in a few months, so my memory isn't the best. I can take some pictures on Tuesday of a unit in the...

Curious of all your thoughts on this

Good to see the original style Oreck in production. That makes it easy to get parts for units going back 20+ years.

What Do These Motors Go To?

These two motors were laying around and I'm curious as to what brand they're used for. The first unit looks similar to a Sebo motor and the second one probably drives a gear. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Need help on this power nozzle?

Take off the four screws holding the motor. I have a feeling it's a bracket setup like what is shown below. If that's the case, you should be able to replace it with the standard Lamb/G.S. Motor that was in MANY different brands of power nozzle throughout the years. You need to make sure the...

    Dual Sanitronic 50

The logo is just a window and is intact. It only lights up when the bulb is lit up. Your bulb is probably burned out.

Windsor Sensor XP12 auto height not working

There's 3 magnets in an Automatic Sebo/Windsor. One sits in the suction elbow to raise the machine to its highest setting when the unit is standing/using tools. The other two are located in the orange clutch pulley. The edges of each magnet meet up across from each other and the sensor from...

    What Kirby was this?

No Les It's not the same as a Heritage II bag and the belt lifter clearly says Heritage in the Kirby photo. The orange and grey bags have a similar square pattern except that 3 squares are taken up to display the Kirby logo on the grey bag which the one in the Kirby photo does NOT have. Either...

    What Kirby was this?

It's a first generation Kirby Heritage from 1981. If you zoom in closely, you can see the embossed Kirby logo on the headlight lens. There also doesn't appear to be a Kirby logo in the bottom right corner of the handle either.

Added a new machine to my collection

WOW! A Dynamic U1 is a much newer revision than the S7 lineup. Does it have the two rectangular rocker switches or the circle and oval style?

    Bernina/Evolution or Just Evolution

They were the exact same machine normally branded as Evolution. That's why people refer to them as Bernina/Evolution since it's a difference of name. If you look closely at a Bernina, it says, "Made For", on the front bag door.

A-1 Vacuum Closing in Crest Hill, Illinois

John Didn't realize that was you who called. I was there that day and he didn't get a response when he greeted you with, "A1 Vacuum, this is Paul". That's why he said what he said. I also didn't realize how much was already gone since the last time I made this post. I can assure you that Paul...

A-1 Vacuum Closing in Crest Hill, Illinois

A-1 Vacuum in Crest Hill is coming to an end after almost 40 years of service since the owner and his wife are retiring. They have the be out of the building by April 30th. Many parts and units are being thrown in the dumpster as I'm writing this. Paul has lots older parts for brands such as...

    Singer Twin Fan question

When you remove the outer bag, there should be a seal going around the mouth where the bag clamps to. It's been awhile since I had mine apart so my memory is kinda fuzzy in that aspect. You should be able to use adhesive based weatherstripping.

    Newly acquired Hoover 541

From what I'm seeing, all it needs is a good wipedown. Hoover 541's are not supposed to be polished. That was done by vac shops to make them look like the 700 which was polished from the factory. I would NOT polish or paint this machine if I was you. You have the original switch and bag which...

    Early Kenmore Oreck competitor?

All I know is that the Bissell Prolite is a rebadged Powr Flite Twin Fan. I believe those units were made by Tacony.
