Does anyone want a Hoover Concept Two?

What I've done in the past is use a Riccar Supralite box and add another box to the rear. This would let you lay the machine flat instead of having wasted space between the front of the vacuum and the side of the box. I've never shipped a Concept Two this way, so it might be different. The hand...

Watch those Kirby's. They will hurt you.

Takes me back to a former vac shop owner whose mother was buffing Kirby castings. A D80 rug nozzle slipped out of her hand and went directly into her foot. It healed after a few months, but it was awful.

    Windsor Sensor XP12

I would STRONGLY recommend purchasing a service box which includes the HEPA filter, exhaust filter, squeegee, and 8 HEPA bags. That way you save $10 instead of buying everything a la carte. The part number for the kit is 5827AM. In regards to the height adjustment, when you stand the machine...

    Electrolux Cord Reel

Looking to see if it it possible to still get the pulley section of a cord reel for an Electrolux Diamond Jubilee. I tried calling my local Aerus dealer and they just wanted to sell me a used one. Otherwise, I'll just order a new assembly. The

    1963, KIRBY MODEL SANITRONIC VII

It always amazed me that they used the oval logo on the boxes, but not on the machine itself until 1965. Didn't the 562 boxes have the circle?

How to fix crooked Sanitronic VII emtor lock?

Whoever told you that on Facebook is wrong. You probably aren't pushing it fully into place. Some of those older emptors require some muscle to lock in.

    how to remove fan ?

When I rebuilt my Westinghouse Upright, I vaguely remember having a set screw on the side of the fan. If you have a flat side, that would be my assumption.

    Miele Duoflex cordless stick

I will applaud them for using an "off the shelf" power nozzle. In this case, it's the Wesselwerk EBK250. I have seen three Triflex HX1 units with a defective connection between the head and main unit. That old head was also too tall to get under furniture and just seemed flimsy. I did like the...

Just used my Home Depot Hoover Turbo Scrub Again.

I've seen the solution pump break all the time and that part is not available even though the machine is still in production. That's why you get them for as cheap as you do.

    Kirby Model 519

WOW. Absolutely stunning! Do you buff your castings with a bench buffer or do you use a drill/angle grinder?

Kirby Sanitronic (562) vs Sanitronic VII help

You can also differ an early Sanitronic VII from a newer one by the logo on the bottom. Early units had a circlular logo on the model tag while later ones had the oval logo. Both units still had the tightly packed circle logos on the outer bag. The emptor also doesn't have the sweet aire dummy...

    Hoover Floor Washer Question

I have two and I've never actually tried them on water. I cleaned and serviced one, but still need to start on the other. It amazed me how this thing was constructed. I may have to pull out the other one and start working on it to give you an answer.

    Kirby Tradition Fan Removal

Yea The only way to really do this is with the tool that Ben mentioned. In the past, I used to grab the armature with my hand and loosen the spindle with an icepick. That being said, if you have big hands like me, you won't have much room and might cut yourself on the housing. That tool is...

    repairing Shark vacuums

This is OLD news. Everyone in the repair industry knows this. That's why most shops refuse Sharks the minute they come in the door. Shark wants you to throw it away and buy new. If there's something wrong with the unit while it's under warranty, they just send the customer another unit/assembly...

The worst looking Hoover Decade 80 for almost $600???!! CHECK THIS OUT

Here's another one that just sold. Looks to have been cobbled together and there's even an F&G conversion bag attached to this one. There appears to be a new hood and a metal fan. I know the vacuum community sheds a lot of hate toward "F&G Conversions", but I have a feeling these were...

The worst looking Hoover Decade 80 for almost $600???!! CHECK THIS OUT

Ha! Those pictures are priceless! Can we start posting pictures from the listings though? I always like to have a good laugh when looking at old threads after the listings expire. I remember the 500 Series Kirby that had chrome P trap for its handle.

    Bernina 6100C Motor +(?)

I've never worked on a Bernina vacuum before, but I've worked on many units that it was cloned from like the Simplicity 7000 series & Riccar Vibrance. As far as I know, there isn't a board in those older machines. If it was one of the newer ones with the variable speed control above the bag...
