    Little Wonder Handheld Question

I own a handvac like the one pictured below and it makes a rattling noise when the motor is running. If I turn it upside down, the noise goes away. Is that normal for these units or is there a shim/washer missing on the armature?

are Hoover Crosleys (Elites) worth having?

That would be cool to see. The only private labeled Maytag Hoovers I've seen were the Triple S ProSpec units. I haven't heard good things about it.

    Vintage Kirby Heaven! 🤩

Damn! I've messaged this guy before and he's not kidding when he said he was retiring and selling off his inventory. What I wouldn't do if I lived in Florida.

Rainbow D2 PN cord receptacle question

The ground wire coming off of the 3 prong connector goes to a screw inside the base where the ground wire coming off the cord is attached to. That's assuming your unit has a 3 prong cord. What does your 2 prong receptacle look like out of curiousity? I have a D2 and can post pictures if you...

    Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 Restoration!

I think his grandmother had a Sanitronic VII that was factory rebuilt if I'm not mistaken.

    Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 Restoration!

Looks beautiful Kyle! It's hard to come across DS50s with the close ovaled bags. Can't imagine how that headlight cover sheared the way it did.

    1 off Kirby

The seller who sold the customized 560 is the one who found me the aftermarket blue lifter decal for my D80 (Pictured below). He's on his way to retirement and has a lot of stuff that he hasn't yet posted. I know most of the parts are aftermarket, but I always admired the 500 series units...

Debating on getting this Very Rare Hoover U4003

While that is a hard model to find, I don't think any Convertible is worth $400. I assume you're referring to a U4033 and not a U4003 like in your title. Penncrest Convertibles are also not easy to come by and I think $30 is way too low as a "trade-in" for the U4033 depending on what condition...

    Grease Gun Help

Is this grease gun missing a spring? I cannot get it to pump grease and the rubber is still flexible.

Do u think I should get this vacuum?

Make sure it doesn't have a broken fan so that your $10 and 1 hour drive don't go to waste. Those fans are no longer available and are getting harder to find every day.

    January Restorations

Here are the three vacuums I restored this past month. The Omega was probably the toughest but most rewarding. Blue Kirby D80: I had always admired the look of a red or blue Kirby done in aftermarket trim. I figured I would have to hunt down the pieces and outfit an existing machine or find one...

    Miele brilliant broke and leaking

It depends how much dirt got through the pre filter inside the bag chamber. If you're lucky, you'll be able to blow out the bag compartment, install a new pre filter, new bag, and then you're on your way. If the bags aren't clicking into place, I wonder if the bag dock is defective but it's hard...

    Kirby model 2C help needed

Tom Stepian is a good guy to deal with. He sold me a bag for my D80 when it was the last part to complete my D80 restoration. Here's his email: [email protected]

Hoover Dial A Matic Handle Brace

I vaguely remember seeing handle brace kits for Dial A Matic handles on eBay a few years back. Just curious if anyone has a picture of one attached to a machine. Were they genuine or an aftermarket part?

    Type 63 belt

You can either use a stretched out Convertible belt or a Eureka RD belt. Type C Bags will work although I think these originally used the Type W Handisacs but I could be wrong.

Kirby G7D burning through belts regardless of adjustment settings

Interesting Never knew why the safety switch actuator was larger on that coupler than the standard ones.

    Restored Westinghouse Upright

Thank you Jeff. I appreciate the kind words. Any approximation of when this unit is from? I'm guessing 40's?

    Restored Westinghouse Upright

I use TriFlow Grease. It comes in a 3oz tube and is clear in color.
