Heads Up!! Dirt Devil/Royal hand vac bag adaptors for sale on Ebay!

Personally, I would just run these hand vacuums without the disposable paper bags, in order to have the best incoming airflow. ~Ben

    Gold Kirby wanted

KirbyJoeClassic Joe, Besides this... the true needle-in-a-haystack that's a gold Kirby would have to be gold-plated version of the Dual Sanitronic 50 produced from 1965 to 1967. Actress Phyllis Diller was one of the lucky few to own that variation. ~Ben

    Kirby heritage 2 13” nozzle

ItsSid Sid, You can make a Heritage II 13" nozzle from that of a 516 to Dual Sanitronic 80 nozzle, but it will not have the requisite lug for the Heritage's speed switch. ~Ben

    Kirby heritage 2 13” nozzle

ItsSid Sid, You may likely need new hinges; they are part no. 1547. Replacement rivets will be part no. 1545 or 1864. ~Ben[this post was last edited: 1/24/2024-20:41]

Can you guess these Kirby models ?

odavid123 Hi David, On the left is the model C (later production, circa 1937, due to the headlight), and on the right is the Heritage II Legend (1987-89, just a warmed-over Heritage II with some new features) with the shake-out bag and the 13" nozzle. These two are roughly 50 years apart...

    Douglas Busy Bee

LesinUtah Les, The date code on your Busy Bee reads "8129" which can mean one of two things: a. it was built in 1981, 29th week (summer 1981) or b. it was built in 1988, 129th day (May 8, 1988) Because of the estimated year range you state, my guess is b. ~Ben

    Kirby 514 w/ 119078A 505-515 fan...

The basic impeller fan is the same for both groups, but it's the driveshaft that differs. For models 505-515, a spacer is also used to shim the fan in place. ~Ben

Eureka Power Team - Model 1514-A

Paul I looked up the trademark for "Edge & Corner Kleener" (what Eureka refers to its deluxe carpet nozzle) and the first time it was mentioned anywhere was sometime during November 1980, which fits in with your guess as to it being introduced in 1981. However, it had not actually been filed as...

    Eureka 3712B

Paul Paul, In the 1986 J.C. Penney spring/summer catalog, there is the model 3336A in it (item 7, page 813). Item 6 is a higher-spec Mighty Mite with the aluminum wands. I remember the 1987 J.C. Penney spring/summer edition did have the 3175 with the "Turbo-Matic" air-powered nozzle...

Eureka Power Team - Model 1514-A

Paul Paul, Thank you very much! I do remember the very first Mighty Mites did have the new-style combo floor tool with the former '60s (Eureka-Williams era) logotype on it (as is shown in the ad you posted, and in pictures 1-2 in this reply), but I think by the fall of '83 (when the Mighty...
