    Last week, just after reaching 50 years, the rotor burned out on my NuTone CV350. I'm not sure I want to spend $250+ on a replacement motor. I'll try rewinding it at some point, and will keep an eye out for units that are being scrapped to pull a rotor from, but even if it gets fixed it will...

    Central Vac DIY Questions

    Any reason not to just use something like 1000-2000 grit sandpaper? I usually throw rotors on my drill press and polish them with that. I've heard concerns of particles getting embedded in the copper, but I've never had excessive brush wear after using sandpaper.

    Looking for a rotor for a NuTone CV350 (Ametek Lamb 115334 motor)

    Just trying to keep this thing going without a Vacuum of Theseus situation. Haven't had much luck finding just the rotor, so I might have to figure out how to do rewinding.
