The Vac shop clean out begins

GE Power Head Hello Good Sir! I wish to inquire of the green GE power head in above photo for the 106766 canister. How is the overall condition of that nozz;e? Do rear wheels wobble or roll straight? Motor sound good? I just acquired one of those canisters. It's in ok shape but could use...

    Around $300 budget

Congrats! Personally, I've never been much of a Sebo fan but I will say that the E series canister is extremely quiet and also very powerful suction and airflow. I'm sure it will do excellent for you and they are definitely a very well built machine that will last a long time. I'm shocked...

    Central vacuum recommendations.

Central Vacuums have come a long way with vast feature array Two of the most popularly recommended lines right now are MD and VacuFlo. CycloVacs is also very good but many seem to be going with VacUFlo over that. A consumer could get a basic Beam or low end Nutone setup that had a single...

    Hoover Vacuum Photos.

I'm sure Hoover had a studio with some sort of bland, generic background. Think about when you were in K - 12 grades and had annual school photos. The professional photographer had a backdrop of some sort with bright lights angled a certain way. Many companies have employees get professional...

    Hoover futura

That's a shame the fan broke. There are still some vac shops out there that have back stock of parts and they appear on eBay every so often too. They are a great machine, just watch what you suck up. Some of those were louder over others.

    Which Hoover Canister is this?

The upper one is a Hoover PowerMax. The circled red one in my photo on the right is an entry level Hoover Futura with manual wrap storage. That power head would not have a headlight and have a single row bristle agitator. The one in that photo is missing another wand which makes it look very...

PowerClean & PureAir Series I would love to try one of these. I know they are supposed to be very loud just like Eureka Bravos but they look really neatt!

    Hoover Elite/Legacy Upholstery Nozzle

Do you have a photo of the one received? Many vac shops have a variety of old tools, you might check your local store. What color is the tool set on your Elite, gray, beige or black?

    Selling Collection

Sorry to hear you are selling much of your collection. Lots of nice vacs there! I was hoping you might have the navy blue Futura upright but no such luck for me. Best wishes! Try looking up Greg Palmer, owner of Empire Vacuum in Manlius. He may have interest in some or know people of interest.

A few questions about Hoover models using Type A and Z bags

Hoover A bag was Top fill. It came out on Convertibles of the late 70s / early 80s as bottom fill Hoover C bags started to slowly fade away. One of the coolest Hoover A bag machines is the Decade 800 series. They had the same hood as some Convertible Elites and Decade 80 models. However...

    Most powerful

I have yet to try a GE or Premier canister. I've tried Oreck mini canisters and find them meh. Hoover PortaPowers and Eureka Mighty Mites are also good. Haven't tried the Supraquick yet but everything Tacony makes is very powerful! It should tied with the Simplicity Sport. You should try a...

Does anyone have those days they just want to get done and not fiddle with the vacuum?

I use upright vacs for quick cleaning and canisters for most all else. A canister with cord winder is a cinch to take in and out and do the job for me. I love power npzzle canisters for most tasks. I have dedicated wand sets with bare floor brushes so I don't have to swap a power nozzle off...

    Asking for opinions

I wouldn't fret over $40 for a Decade 800. They are a fun, great cleaning machine and easy to service. Go for it. I have two Decades. The Decade 800s feature: Long cord 4 height adjustment Dual headlight bulbs large capacity Hoover A bag, available in HEPA Hoover Beater bar well reknowned...

Aerus LLC (Electrolux USA) 100th Anniversary Models?

Yes, Rob Walton I was perfectly well aware of that! Very easy to tell when I opened up the unit that there were many more cogs on the belt and pulleys compared to several years ago. Aerus will never re-join with Electrolux AB. Electrolux AB is leaving the vacuum market. Aerus separated off...
