Aerus is now selling HEPA type C bags

Dave, I would guess that Aerus is waiting for the supply of paper Style C Home Solutions bags to be depleted before they update the website. Or, it could be that the paper Style C Home Solutions bags will be offered alongside the HEPA Cloth Style C bags, but the website will only sell the paper...

    Now, I own a Royal

Barry, I don't think you will regret getting that Royal the first time you use it on your carpets - those are truly BEASTS at cleaning! Even better than a Kirby G Series. So much so, that especially considering the price difference, if they were still selling Royal Metal uprights new, I would...

    DrainVac takes over NuTone

Mike, that's probably the very reason DrainVac acquired NuTone - to have a lower end budget central vac offering.

    Miele electric hose

Don, if you're worried about getting kinks in your electric hose, why not buy & use a central vac hose hanger? They're not that expensive, usually under $30 dollars, and should easily hold 3 canister vacuum hoses. So would be good for a collector to have too.

    Bernina 6100C Motor +(?)

Sorry to hear that Stan. At least this repair shop was honest with you. I would definitely throw a new motor in if you can supply the shop with one, they are nice machines.

GE Commodore Vacuum with powerhead (Looks like from Japan)

WOW! Mitsubishi made vacuums? Who knew! That is one very cool vacuum! Especially since they had a bagless system similar to what Sanyo canisters used, with the pleated filter you cleaned by turning a crank that turned plastic fins to knock the dust off the filter. I swear though, that is...

The Vac shop clean out begins

Jimmy, if you're so worried about seeing some of these vintage cleaners you have collected over the years go to waste, why not have your friend help you with Ebay? You have some very nice machines there that I am sure you could fetch quite a bit of money for. Even some that are in fair shape...

    replacement zb 89 kaput ....1401??????

Tyler, good point. But, let's not forget the age of the cleaner....the Olympia was made from 1979 to 1982. And the fact this vacuum has a newer hose and a service sticker on it indicates it was probably in regular service in someone's home till very recently. So at it's oldest, this cleaner is...

GE Commodore Vacuum with powerhead (Looks like from Japan)

Actually, that wouldn't be that unusual. By the looks of that powerhead and the caster wheel, that looks to be a early 80s rebadged Panasonic canister. And those Panasonic canisters were made in Japan before the early 90s when Panasonic bought out Whirlpool's North American vacuum business and...

Countdown to Vacuum Collectors Convention 2023

No thanks! Even if I could get down to America, there's no way I would want to associate with ANYONE who hangs out in that clique of people. Backstabbing, rumors, prissy guys trying to outdo each other and throwing fits? Nope, not my cup of tea!

    replacement zb 89 kaput ....1401??????

Antoine, you did good. Looks to be in nice shape and good hose for that price. The only thing I would suggest you do immediately is open up the cleaner and inspect the carbon brushes. Chances are they are worn down to nothing by now & ready to be changed. And order a set of Super J carbon...

    Bernina 6100C Motor +(?)

StanL, I agree with Eurekaprince - your dealer was trying to scam you. I watched your video....the noise sounds normal. And there is no circuit board. If there was, there would be a slide speed control just above the bag door. Your motor does not need to be lubricated every 6 months, vacuum...

    Rebadges

Agreed, Brian! Another issue this would help with is when a manufacturer discontinues a model & certain parts for it. That way, you would know whether a clone was made by the same factory & if you could take parts off a used model.

Rainbow With Wesselwerk EBK340 Power Nozzle

Mike, that's a great use for that Wessel Werk powerhead! I would have gone with the EBK360 version that has the standard neck though if I had to buy the powerhead, as the height adjustment would come in handy. Have used & compared the EBK340 & EBK360 side by side as well, and seems the EBK360...

What Motors Were Used In Electrolux Models and Aerus Models

Dave The Johnson motors used currently in the Aerus Classic and Aerus Legacy ARE of questionable quality. Take a quick look at used Shark motors on Ebay, & you will find some of the motors used in recent years bear a resemblance to the Johnson motor, & I do believe they likely are. So, let me...

1205 in srink wrap on ebay loook

I would say that 1205 IS worth the price, for sure! To the seller's credit, note that they do list it as "used", not new or open box. So their listing & representation is certainly accurate. If you look closely at the pictures, note that the box around the Electrolux logo on the bumpers has the...

Question about the bag to this heritage III

A word of caution about that Kirby F&G conversion bag - they rob the Kirby of it's airflow. The F&G bags clog up quick. Plus, the paper tube can tear on them. I would second Mike's advice to use a Hoover C bag in it for the Hoover Convertible. Whenever I have used a Convertible in the past...

    New Miele stickvac

Looks very nice. However, a shame they are ditching the TriFlex design, it was very innovative with all the different positions the vacuum could be configured in. Plus all that design work gone down the drain :(

The Machine to Launch an Empire

WOW! You certainly got quite the score there! How much did you pay? And did it include the hose and attachments?

    Power Nozzle Stays On

Cassidy, nobody has discriminated against you here. Nobody brought up ANYTHING about your lifestyle or being transgender. All I stated was what your current name & Vacuumland member name was, and what your past name and past Vacuumland member name was. And the "info" that has been divulged here...
