Thank you. I did see that site with the parts, but I could not find on the list of parts the piece that broke. I cannot find it on the diagram either.

I have an old Panasonic MC-V7581 (purchased in the early 2000s) that I've had in the back of the closet without using for many years. Just moved and brought out the big boy to use. Tried to turn the floor cleaning attachment knob and it snapped into pieces! Now the vaccuum is stuck in tools mode...
