Tips and advice for selling vacuums on ebay

eBay My advice is this: Take lots of pictures and describe the machine to the best of your ability. Package the vacuum with bubble wrap, and also I would use packing peanuts.

Wanted: Hoover Celebrity IV power head

Does anyone have one of these power heads for a Hoover Celebrity IV that they would be willing to part with? I just bought my Celebrity off of eBay, and the machine itself is in pretty decent shape, and runs great. My power head on the other hand, works, but not that well. Plus it was cracked by...

Searching For a New Vacuum for my Mother

Funny You Should Mention The Kenmore... When I was at Sears last, they had one of those Elite Crossovers sitting there as a former floor model that they were trying to sell. I think for something like ~$125. I'm going back there later today, I'll have to take a closer look at it.

    Is this Hoover rare?

This vacuum is what would have been known in England as the Hoover Junior. Definitely an uncommon machine, I have never seen one in person.

Are there still retail stores that let you try out vacuums?

Sears The Sears I was in earlier had power strips mounted to the wall, in full view of the customer. Wide display of canisters and uprights. They also had floor models of some Kenmore's that were ready to be demonstrated.

    Hello, and a Decade 80

Hello all, this is my first post, and I have a vac to show with it! (Long time lurker though). I was perusing through Craigslist, when I saw this vac sitting there for sale. It was being offered by a local vac shop, and it had been taken apart, and gone through. It's a dust cup Decade 80 (I...
