    I love it. its to bad about the hose. My great grandmother had this vac, and then us when she went into a home. Then my grandmother gave it to my aunt after i begged her not to and she distroyed it. Good luck with it, I love the hum of an old Lux. =)

    That is an awesome deal. I almost got one that was 300 used at Sears but i figured I'd wait and it would come down, but it was gone in a week. I have the orange progressive like above but the motor is shot it also has the electrostatic pre filter as goes my 2005 blue Kenmore. I usually wash it...

    858 I would think it would work well...I've used one for that back when I had one. The only thing is the bag would clog fairly easy on the Connie. My Kenmore Whispertone did well with generic Micro fresh bags Wally world used to sell.

    Using a hand held steam cleaner to detail vintage machines

    Ive used steam on metal and some plastics. As long as you dont put the nozzle right on the surface I dont thinks theres a problem. Ive even steamed vinyl bags without a problem, just not where any writing is. That goes for plastics to. Id be afraid the lettering would get damaged.
