    Electrolux Trivac 2102

I guess the consumers haven’t changed! I thought maybe the Electrolux customers were a bit more careful with their machines.

    Electrolux Trivac 2102

Here is their description of the “stick.” I wouldn’t think that the Trivac would clog much.

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

The performance of a given machine definitely depends on the specific household. I can’t say I’ve ever really had to suck up cereal (no children in my home), dirt clouds, and occasionally I get one leaf. I do have a significant amount of area out of the back yard before any debris reaches the...

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

I have heard that the motors might be better on the current models. That’s a good size of hose, but it is a bit messy. The new Diamante reminds me of my grandfather’s Windtunnel, he would keep the extension hose on and wrap it around the front. I see that they put that awful hose handle...

    Soft Bristles for Sanitaire VGII

I’m not sure if this will help, but here’s my take on the blue brushes. The blue brushes are slightly stiffer than the brush roll used by Miele (U1 or 236) or Wessel Werk. I would say that the blue Sebo brush roll is stiffer than the blue Sanitaire brushes. I would call the blue brushes...

    Royal 880

That’s great to know, I would imagine they’re going to stop making the bulb I showed, sooner than later!

    My first Hoover Convertible

I’ve never used or had a Hoover Convertible, but I think it’s a staple in a vacuum collection. I found this Convertible at the right price, it appears to be from 1987(the serial number starts as 1187). The Convertibles from the 1960s are my favorite, but they’re hard to find in good condition...

Will a Eureka F&G machine belt fit a later Hoover Convertible?

I have plenty of F&G belts, would they fit a later model Hoover Convertable or is it better to get the Hoover belt?

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

The Optima was the first vacuum I had of my own, my mother didn’t want me messing with her Oreck anymore. As I remember, that was a powerful machine apart from the cartridge filter. I don’t remember what happened to my Optima, I think the motor burned out.

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

The users are probably to blame, I seen several on Amazon that managed to break their machines. The price certainly went up a bit since I last priced one out, I think they were about $380 the last time I priced one out. For the current price, I would definitely buy a Sebo.

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

I’ve always wanted to get a Proteam upright, but are they reliable? I thought I had seen from several people on YouTube that they were breaking in a year of use. In quality I mean a product that can last 20 to 30 years with very few repairs.

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

I don’t consider the Felix a full sized upright, I suppose I should have specified as full sized, fully featured, and traditional style bypass upright. I define full sized upright as one that has a wand, full set of attachments that store nicely onboard, have their motor down in the base rather...

Thoughts on Lindhaus Diamante and Comparison with Sebo

The oil seems to be slowly resolving the noise. The optional felt base plate really makes a difference in its Hard floor performance! I do find that you have to clean the felt when your done (obviously dog hair clings to the felt). I do find that the two row brush blocks much of the dirt from...

How do you apply the grease? I do not want to disassemble the motor or the shaft.

Trash Found Triple S Versamate (Sebo 350/1st Gen Windsor Versamatic)

Looks great! This was certainly a great find, I believe there was one on eBay for $300 a few months ago. I do want to get a versamatic at some point, if I find one in good condition. The first vacuum I seen in school was a Versamatic (I believe it was blue) or it might have been a triple s.

I got a David Pro DX (Sebo X4 Boost) for 650 dollars!

That’s the first model that comes to my mind when you say Sebo, the X4. It’s certainly a great vacuum for mainly carpeted areas. The suction is not the strongest but it’s adequate. My only real issue with the X4 is that it gets hard to push after about 4-7 months of brush wear. Windsor S and XP...

    Lindhaus help

I have applied 3 in1 motor oil to the bearings of the brush motor and it sounds much better. I ran the brush motor with the hood off and it sounds like the remaining dry bearing sound is coming from the right (not the side that has the belt) brush roll bearing.

Filter Queen Parts Haul. Does anybody else buy parts when they find them before needed?

I guess some old vac stores might have a salvage yard. I have 2 large car salvage yards within 15 minutes from my home, I don’t see why there couldn’t be one for vacuums. I have been able to source parts on eBay relatively easily.

Filter Queen Parts Haul. Does anybody else buy parts when they find them before needed?

I will generally buy parts as I find them, there will come a time when you cannot find the parts.

    Sebo X4 Difficult to Push

I believe that’s my plan! The X7 plate would definitely have voided the warenty, so I would have swapped it as well. Of course I really don’t expect to have to take my machine in, maybe I’ll have it serviced at around 5 years.
