If the item breaks they try to fix it naturally, if not able to the state tag is removed and the number in the tag is documented and the item is thrown out or sold on the state auction

Most states label items so they cannot be taken, I work for the state and I’ve seen this done, many vacs I’ve seen have a bronze tag riveted on them

Silverado handle I’ve noticed several silverados that pop up have the old style front handle that is recessed like a super j. I’ve noticed this enough to know that it’s not a hack thing. Wondering if anyone can weigh in on this, I’ve seen more paired with a PN5 than 4 with that style handle.

Vg1 I have one of those all bristle VG1 also, still find the generic superior, at least for my carpets which are hard to clean.

Ebay eBay is your best bet or try googling it, even if your vac shop does not carry them they should still be able to get you parts for any vacuum. Mine is a s670 type b, also the generic wooden brush roll with all bristles makes it much easier to use and more effective as it has a chevron...

Fix You could get the dial that has 8 positions, I have that on my professional model and could not imagine not having it, granted it was standard from the factory but you could adopt it too.

Stephan Where did you find the brush roll with stiffeners? I just got one from eBay that showed it in the picture but it didn’t have them when I got it. I hate lazy eBay sellers that don’t update the pictures.

I second Rob in regards to the carbon brushes, I had this happen to a NOS DAM, except mine the wire broke on the brushes. If nothing else I have a NOS Legacy for sale. I have used it a couple of times, but you’d be hard pressed to tell.
