    Model G Power Hose Replacement?

It's called a "Pigtail Electric Hose", which is how Electrolux describes it. I see the vinyl ones (which don't leak) on eBay along with the old cloth (nylon) braided hoses that most likely DO leak. Buy a vinyl hose and enjoy your Model G. Also, use HEPA cloth disposable bags to preserve the...

WTB: Royal Powercast hose or hose end

Always happy to help. Interesting story of where that hose came from. I was at the VCCC convention when Morgan Fraser was elected. Charlie Watrous and Fred Nelson had a cocktail party to introduce Morgan as a candidate for president of the club. Lots of cocktails and food. One of the attendance...

The genius Sears vacs from Birtman Electric

The Sears Kenmore "Deluxe" vacuum cleaners from the mid 1930s. Works of engineering art.

    Still looking

As far as I am aware, it is only the two rear wheels. You still have to drag it by the front. Only the model 61 is on three wheels, but that's the way it came from the factory.

Bissell PowerForce Helix is the defacto vacuum for lodging establishments

The hotels get a quantity deal on those Bissell machines. They use them until something happens to them, then they throw them away and get out another one. The hotel itself probably only has about $45 in each machine, their cost. It's much more cost efficient just to use disposable vacuum...

Thank you Les. I had no idea. Taking them off eBay right now. I think I'll just give them away to my friends.

Eureka Attachment Sets on eBay - Models M & S-250

Those look just like the ones that go with my Eureka Challenger model M, which I'm getting ready to put on eBay.

    Rest in Peace Morgan.

Wow. Had no idea. I guess it happens to us all at some point. There's a long story of how Morgan became President of the V.C.C.C., and I watched it all unfold. Needless to say, I voted for him. We all have to go sometime. This was very unexpected. R.I.P. Morgan Frazer.

The genius Sears vacs from Birtman Electric

Presenting The 1955 Kenmore KenMaid. It cost $169, which was $100 more than an Electrolux at the same time in history. It came with its own cherry cabinet to roll the machine into. The glory of this vacuum is that everything you need is always with you all the time. Imagine cleaning a large 3000...

    Who Remembers Vacgirl9111

In my many decades of collecting vacuums, going to conventions, meeting thousands of collectors, I have only met ONE woman (Tania) who is a collector like me. She aggressively looks to expand her collection and actively increases her knowledge of the subject. All the rest have been men (when I...

Early Production Health Mor Sanitation System Vacuum

You have a nice machine, built by Royal. They sold tons of them, but we don't see too many left today. I love mine.

    Commander Kenmore........Come in Commander...

The great thing about Google is that even many years from now someone who finds one of these Kenmore carts can come back to this page and find good information about the machine.

    What's everyone's opinion on Orecks?

They are not really a vacuum cleaner but more like an electric broom, which is what they originally started out to be when RCA whirlpool made them for Sears. They were made to be used by people who don't care whether or not the rug is actually clean, but rather looks clean. Hotel maids and...

    Commander Kenmore........Come in Commander...

These are examples, so it's easy to see when a vintage,Birtman built vacuum was made.

    Commander Kenmore........Come in Commander...

If you raise the exhaust cover and look, there will be a stamp with either three or four numbers. My KenKart has the numbers 353 stamped on it at that point, which is March of 1953. They were just rubber-stamped on, but it's the month and year the machine was made. Even the round Kenmore...

Whats the dirtiest vacuums you've seen?

I have repaired vacuum cleaners for 42 years now. Want to talk about the 'worst' vacs, the dirtiest, I got ya beat. Everything you can imagine and some you can't have come in lodged inside sweepers. From dog and cat toys to human "toys", to napkins (of all descriptions, and I mean ALL)...

The genius Sears vacs from Birtman Electric

Sears was way ahead of their time. The quiet power of the KenKart doesn't disturb the dog, he's just mad it's raining and he can't go outside.

    Patriot vacuums

I have a 2022 Purple Patriot. It has the new motor in it. Unbelievable suction and airflow, yet single fan. One thing I learned right away, NEVER use the paper Patriot bags in the machine. Always use the cloth HEPA disposable bags. The paper Patriot bags clog almost instantly with fine...

    New lightweight upright vacuum needed

The Riccar SupraLite R10 series weigh just as much as a gallon of milk (8 pounds or so) and would be a great choice. Take the R30 along as they will give you a trade-in on that machine towards the new one.
