The older metal base machines are very nice to use, personally my favorite. Not sure why they don't get more love than they do, but they are very nice machines!

Personally, I’d recommend a VacuFlo DB8000. Bagged unit with the 8.4 inch 2 stage motor. Extremely powerful! If you want to stay with bagless, I’d go with a 760, BUT, you’d need to have a second exhaust line run, as they cannot be Y’ed together. MD is my personal preference, but I know they...

The MD M715h has the 8.4 inch motor as well, and I think a much better bag arrangement and better built can. Or the VacuFlo DB8000 is a bottom empty unit with that motor which I also feel is good. I’ve installed two of the M715hs, one in a new install and one as a replacement for an Electrolux...
