    Looking to Buy

John, if the caster wheel on the LX and LXI is the same as the American Electrolux metal canisters from the 70s and 80s....like the Super J, Silverado, Diamond Jubilee and Marquise, you can pick that up in a hardware store if Repairman, Mike, doesn't have it but does have the clip on wheels...

    Silver Infused HEPA bags

I will say, the silver infused bags looks like a good idea, and I would be interested. BUT, I would want to hear from some people that have had problems with bag odours, switched to these bags and them saying their issue was resolved using the silver infused bags. Also, I would want to see the...

    Here we go again

Yikes! And just when us Canadians thought our regulations on appliances were nuts....

    Central vacuum recommendations.

John, I would also STRONGLY suggest looking at CycloVac central vac units as well. The company is practically legendary here in Canada! Seriously, the company has lots of dealers and a strong reputation for building a QUALITY central vac unit. So much so, that Tacony Corporation has them build...

    Refurbished Electrolux CA

Keith, that hose adapter looks unique and rare too! Was it a original genuine part, or was this adapter custom made by someone who just wanted to use 2 hoses together? As for saving the bags and having a custom cloth bag? Great idea! I don't blame you, considering those bags are hard to find...

    Refurbished Electrolux CA

Congrats on getting that for your collection Keith. Those Electrolux CA's are rare as hen's teeth! And looks like Brian Satterwhite did a nice restoration on it for you too. Use it in good health :)

Royal Dirt Devil Bagless Green Feather Lite Can Vac

Uhm...how quick would you like me to say NO THANKS to a overpriced TTI Dirt Devil from the late 2000's?!!! And that wasn't even that good of a model I might add. I owned a identical blue one for a few years, and that pleated filter was no fun to deal with. And btw, next time you go to paint a...

    Yesssss!

Victor, the Eureka RD belts will NOT work on a Hoover Convertible. The Hoover belt is a little tighter fitting than the Eureka belts are - that's why some people will save worn out Hoover Convertible belts to use on their Eureka uprights. As for other causes of belt slippage, I would also check...

The brand new Delphin from Germany

Devin - That powerhead does indeed look like a modernized version of the powerhead used on the Fakir Combivac 1117 upright that we had in Canada through vac shops in the late 2000's. The height adjustment pedal gives it away that Fakir makes this, and they modernized it with the plastic...

    Canadian Electrolux AP vacuum cleaner

Barry, valid point - BUT, he did not plainly state it as you did in your post. He used the phrase "The vacuum is all original to this machine with the exception of the PN". Also, I find it cheesy how Michael LaBue comes on here calling a very common machine in Canada "rare"....when it is FAR...

Eureka 1756A Brochure - Prototype Power Nozzle?

WOW! Great detective work Ben! So I guess I was right with my second guess is that that model 1756A had a limited production run of 1 year with that power nozzle. Question though....was the first generation Rotomatic power nozzle available after 1983 with that light? I would be willing to bet...

    Veridian canister

I don't see how it could hurt....after all that's what Wessel Werk did to the EBK360 to make it the Soft Clean version for cleaning dense and shaggy style carpets. As long as the holes aren't too big and evenly spaced it should be fine. Don't do too many though, maybe just 2 at first....try to...

    Veridian canister

I have the Hoover Windtunnel version of your vacuum. There is low and medium pile carpeting in my home, and the Hoover Windtunnel powerhead seems to clean well, lift and groom the pile, and not bog down or hard to push. I would give that a try.

I am looking for any literature, or parts, for a Black & Decker Model No 95

George, I can't be of any help to you. But damn, your Black & Decker is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! And I bet it's probably extremely rare too. I wish you the best of luck in finding all the parts, accessories & literature you need to complete it.

    Electrolux Ambassador 3

Antoine, That's a really nice Ambassador III you got there! And a terrific price for both vacuums too. The power nozzle is original on that, hasn't been modified like Paul thinks. Your hose looks like it's a grey one from a Ambassador II, slightly earlier than this mid 90s. Nice that you got the...

Happy Friday — Which of your machines have you enjoyed running today?

Tom - Great choice! How does the DC15 compare to the later Ball models for cleaning performance on rugs?

Happy Friday — Which of your machines have you enjoyed running today?

Well, a couple days ago I ran my Miracle Mate Platinum with TriStar CXL powerhead to clean my apartment. Great vacuum, lots of suction.

    Canadian Electrolux AP vacuum cleaner

Michael, that machine is NOT rare! It may not be commonly seen in America, but it's VERY COMMON to see those Electrolux AP100 canisters come into repair shops needing service even in 2024. And btw, for anyone looking at the pics, if you look at pic 10, the powerhead is not original to this...

    New Kirby model !!

Hey, Right Lane Industries - if you're reading this, take note: When you get LONG discussions on a vacuum collector forum and people mocking and ridiculing your present design by colouring in and making fun of current promotional photos, or you see mocking cartoons or drawings - it's time to...

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

Both those models are the Direct Drive models. You can tell because the spot on the body where the headlight would go on the standard model has a solid piece of plastic, as the headlights are mounted in the front of the powerhead in the bumper. However, to anyone considering buying the Direct...
