    TriStar EXL

The motor on the left is the MG1 crappy motor, just showing a comparison to a Kenmore canister motor (ordinary two stage motor). These small motors dont last that long. Daniel

    TriStar EXL

Yes, that motor should be the one in your EXL. The one in the MG1 is a very small one stage motor that is rather short lived compared to the two stage motor in yours. Here is a picture of the motor actually in the body. I have a picture of the motor in a MG1 as well that burned out already and...

Need a set of carbon brushes for my Hoover 28...

Do you have a picture of the old brushes by any chance? I might be able to help you out, as I work at a vac shop, and we have carbons for old machines, it just depends what they look like to match them up. Thanks, Daniel :-)

The most expensive vacuum belt i've ever seen!

Check the price on a tristar geared belt for the older series canisters. Consumer price at our shop is $20... for one. I had to get one for mine. Its crazy. Daniel :-)

    Hoover Decade 80

Hey everyone, I have a Hoover Decade 80, cream and red with dust cup, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a trade for another HOOVER, or if anyone is selling one. I would prefer a trade, but I might be interested in it if you're selling one instead. Im looking for a Convertible...

    Eureka Attachment Set

It should work no problem as long as the attachments have the bottom plate connection setup. I use mine on my 1934A which is the same thing as yours only a different colour. Keep in mind that you don't get that much suction though when using tools on these uprights. Its good for light dusting...

    HELP!! Eureka RotoMatic power nozzle

Most likely its the same as my vintage NuTone power nozzle as well as my FairFax one, both made by Eureka, and look identical to this one only without the headlight. My Guess is that the motor is held in by two screws that are hidden under the label on the top of the PN. Thats how the motors on...

Hello Everyone! Hoover Model 31 is my baby!

Welcome to the forum! It's a place where you will find very kind and generous people! What a great story you have there about your vintage Hoover, and I'm sorry to hear about your loss of both your mother and father. Those Hoovers are great, and I someday hope to find one! Any convertible like...

    Eureka Boss 1934

The motor might be burnt right out. If its not the switch I would just replace the whole motor. Just my opinion. Keep us posted :-) Daniel :-)
