    Mystery Lewyt

This Lewyt vacuum was found at Los Angeles City College. It somewhat resembles a Lewyt 210, but it is gray and does not have a tool holder or a cord winder. I looked at the machine and I could not find a model number on it. Does anybody have any more information on this particular Lewyt? Any...

Strangest or worst clog found in vacuum

I once found a Dyson upright where somebody sucked up a Crayola marker using the hose. Fortunately, it had not formed a true clog yet, but if anybody used the hose after that, the results wouldn't have been pretty.

    Constellation with Power Nozzle?

I heard rumors that Hoover has (or had) a prototype of a Constellation with a power nozzle. I have seen a picture of what appears to be a mock-up of such a device. However, the contrast seemed somewhat washed out. I was wondering if anyone has higher quality photos of this bizarre machine. Thanks.

These commercials were created by Tsuburaya Productions, best know for creating the popular Japanese series Ultraman. I'm not sure if a vacuum-themed superhero fighting a...

Royal Power Tank Motor Sparking—Is this normal?

I noticed some sparking coming from the carbon brushes on my Royal Power Tank. The video I attached shows the sparking that appears when the vacuum is turned on. The brushes still appear to be long and have not majorly worn away. Is this behavior normal? If not, how can I fix this machine? Thanks.

    Raymond Loewy Electrolux Canister Prototype

I was looking through a book about Raymond Loewy, hoping to find pictures of a Singer S-Series vacuum. Unfortunately, the book had none. However, it did have a photograph of a Loewy-designed Electrolux prototype from 1939. Does anybody know anything about this machine and if it saw release...

    Electrolux Sidekick Brush Roller

I was recently using an Electrolux Sidekick attachment, when I noticed a squealing sound coming from the brush roller. I cleaned any noticeable hair and debris off of the roller, but when I re-assembled everything, the sound was still present. When the roller is detached, the Sidekick’s motor is...

    Hoover 425 Questions

I purchased a Hoover 425 several years ago and I have some questions about the machine. Are the brush roller and belt pulley compatible with each other? The roller appears to be suitable for flat belts, while the pulley seems to accept round belts. How can I remove the brush roller? I tried to...

I heard rumors that the Hoover Junior 375 was released in Canada as the 376. Does anybody have any solid information about the existence of this machine? Thanks.
