Lucky you! I've had no luck whatsoever in finding an old model AEG vacuum cleaner of any kind on eBay. Did AEG not sell a lot of vacuums in the UK, or am I just not looking in the right places?

In the UK (and presumably Ireland), the Miele S256i Black Diamond is even more powerful, with a maximum power output of 1200 Watts, presumably because we use a higher voltage over here (240 volt, as opposed to 220 V on the continent).
