    Really? OK then. Thanks!

    Discovery II Wires Which Way

Hello Electrolux lovers, I just got a new Discovery II... The handle was removed for shipping and I noticed that the 3 prong connector fits two different ways. Does anyone know if the red wire should be to the right or the left when looking at the back of the vacuum (like the second picture)...

    Eureka Man!

Comics! Hey thanks, these corporate comics are always interesting. I never knew that Eureka used them, though. Wish I could train my vacuum bags to whistle a tune like in photo #9 (I wonder if it's the "Eureka song" it's whistling)!

    Why canisters?

Just like the others said... Uprights are great for carpets, or quick touch-ups, but canisters can fit under or around things that you'd have to move so your upright could get there. I prefer canisters on my bare floors, even though some uprights allow you to turn off the brushroll for bare...

    Elux Lx Ejector Fix

Ah, the ejector issue... Does anyone's actually work still?... I'm currently servicing the bag ejector system on my own LX. There's a "Rube Goldberg" system that works the automatic eject located under the metal cover on the inside of the bag compartment door. Hoses clog or deteriorate...

    The Emperor Lives!

Looks awesome! I had to see what this thread was about because the title you chose was perfect! If it vacuums anywhere as good as it looks, you've got a real winner! I've never seen one before, so thanks for sharing (a few more pics would be a real treat). Also, nice Electrolux 'L' - it's my...

Welcome As the others have stated, you have a very nice setup for your collectibles... I especially like the shelves for your vacuums (I need to do something like that for myself one of these days). I also love to see Electrolux collections - my own collection started with a model LX! I look...

    Electrolux Dynamic Duo!

Shiny! Looks like they did a great job on your beautiful wood floor! I love restoring and fully appreciating these unique machines by using them (with care and respect, of course). It's also rewarding to know that they do a great job, too! (I love the "sparkles" on the floor polisher - great...

my introduction and some other thoughts

Welcome!! Nice to see another new "face". I tend to focus on the vintage forum, so I don't always get to meet the new people here on the contemporary forum. I hope your collecting continues to bring you joy and your questions are answered quickly! Again, welcome!

    Rainbow D4 SE Craigslist Score!

Abused You can say that again! BUT it all comes clean in the end, right? Fantastic cleanup (kind of reminds me of my current Hoover concept cleanup, ugh)! Have you had the chance to try it out yet? It's still probably in pieces, isn't it? I love my E-series (used it today, actually) hope you...

The latest addition to my collection

Awesome vac I love these old Eurekas, especially the lovely shape of the hood. I've been meaning to get a chrome hood Sanitaire for a while, but I've had other projects. You did a great job on that one! My 1424 has the same shape hood, too.

    Wide area vacuums

Interesting Are there emissions with this Ivac, or does it charge overnight (I had the sound off on the video)? I like the regular upright Windsor's a lot, but this thing is in a whole category by itself. Yeah, I think I'd get tired standing around on a vacuum... They should make a tractor...

    Wide area vacuums

Wide vacs Your ride-on vacuum sounds pretty cool... I get to use a NSS Pacer when I volunteer to clean the chapel at the church I attend. It's definitely not the most maneuverable vacuum (300 lbs), but the balance is awesome for such a big vac. It's got tons of suction and is pretty dang quiet...

    Saniway

I found this discussion... it's a few years old, but has info regarding the Saniway vacuum history. Didn't see anything relating to which vacuum bags to use, though. http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?12085

    Another Rainbow E series

Awesome find! I keep looking, but the thrift stores around here only have crappy low-end plastic vacs. Now you've got one for upstairs and one for downstairs, right? I hope you love your e-series as much as me! I never understood what all the hype was about until I got one. Now, I'm...

Constellation... @rugsucker, no, I've never used an upright Electrolux - am i missing out on something great? Hey,I'd love a Connie with a hose, wand and some attachments - that would be awesome! How much? I'm not real concerned with colors, but when you get to that point let me know what...

Air-way cord Just so nobody thinks I'm a complete weirdo, here's a picture with the Sanitizor cord in the "everyday" position. I can still see the 'Sanitizor' peeking from under the cord : ) I love the older models with the red "Sanitizor" ring around the top (or even the green/aqua one)...

Hail to the (Filter) Queen! FantomFan, here's the new Filter Queen 95x with PN. Dysonman1, yeah, it's a dumb way to wind the cord - I did it that way to keep the cord from obscuring the name sticker for the picture. Thanks for your kind words and warm welcome, everyone!

Memories... Funny how we all have some sort of "vacuum memory"... I love my little lewyt - Such a big vacuum in a small metal frame! Actually, I use my lewyt to clean out my cars, too. It's light, powerful, and small which makes it excel for cars, in my opinion. I wish mine had the roller base...
