    Just out of curiosity...

I think vintagecanister may be right in that the venue could hold the key. By that, I mean old, long established and conservative states, where folks hold on to things. Examples: PA, VA, New England States, etc. I've had good luck junking in these areas - hope this may help you.

Correction - Lookng for older Hoover bags

Hi - In a previous post, I mention looking for an original bag of a Hoover 850. That was a typo. The model should have been an 800. Sorry for any any disappointments as an 850 would have been a rare bird indeed.

    My new Hoover 450

Nice 450 Hi - it's been a while since I was last on here, and I'd like to comment on your new find. Your 450 appears to me to be all original including the bag. The battle scars can be removed if desired. Congratulations !

I just noticed...... The bug-eye IS missing the bumper, the original bag, and bag clip end caps. ...and this is a valuable museum piece? Makes those of use who have bug-eyes with the original parts lucky guys. I believe lucky gal Elaine may be missing some female parts as well....LOL

Wolfson Museum... I have not yet visited the Wolfson Museum in Miami to see what other interesting vintage things they may have on display in addition to the Kenmore Bug-Eye. Elaine Lancaster is not only a lucky gal but a tall one too! ;-D

    So how do you rebristle...

bristles with some brushes there is a thin metal strip that holds the bristles in place. A club member and vac store owner in Youngstown,OH, does rebristling.
