2012 DFW mini meet at Sean Curry's! 40+ photos!

Don't think I've seen that many GE's in one place! Looks like you all had a great time - clinics even! Like a mini-convention. Thanks for sharing the pics and videos, fun to see people getting together.

Recommendations for vac for someone with back injury

Oreck has an attachment for some(?) models of their cleaners that snaps onto the bottom of the machine that makes moving it on the carpet, especially longer-nap plush much easier. One of my elderly clients bought one for their XL-21 and I tried it yesterday. You may have to move the cleaner a...

    Vintage Clean Out Mini Meet!

Would love to see you and Don and your place, but you won't talk me into taking anything - I should have a clean-out party myself!

    My first Windsor

I have had both the sensor model (wide-path) and the smaller, manual height adjusting model. I like the manual knob on the side better, no waiting to start cleaning - though the sensor adjusted itself pretty quickly. The sensor one I had met with a water "accident" at a job site, so it's a...

Must be something in the (Rainbow) water...?

I'm way behind on my V-Land! Very nice restore, Fred!! I see Rainbows all the time on CL here, but $50 was a great price.

GE Vacuum AVF - 801 - Some Questions

Very nice - and free! Love those GE handles, makes them look so beefy and strong.

OMG... it does exist! Awesome find!!!

Gary does have an eagle-eye when it comes to sales and thrift stores. The first model 82 I brought home years ago was in it's original box, etc. but I didn't know the dolly existed or I might have actually used the machine!

Finally Got A Picture Of My Haul From Convention.

I didn't see the Water-Matic there, that is a really pretty machine. Great haul, that room looks like it needed some vac-decor! :-)

Estate sale finds for last Sat!

Oooh, you have him trained very well!  Did both hoses come with the 1205?  A powerhead? I found a minty one at a sale a while back, Pat gave it a spa treatment and it's one of my favorite cleaners - as with most of the Lux family.  I gave that same slow-cooker to my mother a couple of months...

    Now here's a strange bird...

Super cool!  Doesn't it appear that there is some sort of metal thing in the sink the hose is connected to?  Perhaps the suit-case unit on the floor is just a power unit and the dirt and exhaust are pushed through the hose from the back side to the filtration unit in the sink?  Again, a guess...

    Its Here!!!!!!

These look very impressive in action, do you guys feel the extraction is superior to other home machines? I like the construction and appearance of more durable materials used on critical parts - the suction nozzle, brush, etc. I've never had an issue with my Hoover Steam-Vac but use it pretty...

    Cleanup of a Hoover 29

Very nice, Charlie! This is one of my favorite Hoover designs (and sounds) they really do an outstanding job! That Kirby-bag retro-fit is awesome, David, and the trouser-leg bag is ingenious!

    My two Lux finds!

May was Lux month? Oooh, the Silverado is pretty - one of my favorites. I always liked the grays and the shiny metal, it looks so auto-like.

    Vita-Vac for Your Health!

One of my first impressions of this Douglas p/n was when I tried to push it under the living room chair and couch. You can't lay the wands on the floor (turned for the hand-hold of course) as the p/n front will lift up off the rug. Ugh, that's why I would use it! The later Lux nozzles lie...

    Vita-Vac for Your Health!

I have seen photos of the sack for the tools in pictures. I think the attachments were just generic 1 1/4" fit-all type, right Brandon? On a related note, are the Air-Way tools still being (re)made by Air-Tech? I saw a set at Fred's and should have ordered them then! I love the Eureka p/n...

    Re built model 89 Electrolux..

That's the model I found in Phoenix years ago. I loved that vac and can't remember what I ever did with it. At the time (1989?) I had no idea what I had, just liked the machine and the price was right - $4! Congrats on a beautiful machine, Hans, and to the helpful Doug too!

    Vita-Vac for Your Health!

Look what the Fed Ex man brought last week from Roger in AZ! I love my Vita-Mix blender and always thought it was kind of strange they got into vacuums but this Air-Way built version was gnawing at me - you all know how it goes - "you should have the whole set....you should have the matching...
