It was also sold under Clean Obsessed and Sanitaire branding.

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

Depends on the vacuum. Some stuff is easy to find, other stuff is impossible. Depends on the company and what happened to it. I've been hunting 8 years for a airpath door plug for my Hoover Z700. The Hoover Z400/700 series vacs have unfindable parts because Hoover deliberately destroyed the...

    Dyson Piston

No Dyson filter is lasting 5 years, no matter if motor filter or exhaust filter. The motors spin as such a high rpm they generate tons of carbon dust that fills those filters solid.

    Bagged Eureka Litespeeds.

I noticed a lot of vacuums from around 1999-2006 just got memory holed and nobody has them. No photos, no collectors, none for sale...just....gone. I have no idea why.

    New Kenmore Upright Vacuum

yeah a full upright should never be used for hard floor cleaning. it will never work despite the company's claims, and you will scratch the hell out of your floor to boot. better to use a canister with a floor wand.

Buy it! Very high end door to door vacuum, they never sold many. I certainly do not see them that often. Very lucky that one still has its power nozzle, most times these come up for sale the nozzle is long gone. I seen them often and have TriStars but never was able to get one of these for a...

Does anyone keep this hobby a secret?

Absolutely. The Bison was only created out of spite, they didn't intend for the company to exist for decades. They made it just to prove they could.

Not comparing them to bags. Comparing them to expense. A bagless vacuum, and a Dyson, is not free, as you claimed. You still have to buy parts for it all the time. Also if you cared about environmental awareness, you would not buy a vacuum that uses toxic batteries that cannot be replaced and...

Does anyone keep this hobby a secret?

I do prefer the styling of the Bison over a Kirby. Traitorous, I know.

I have a textured linoleum floor in my kitchen. I vacuum the floor with a canister vac with a soft brush, then dump down ammonia and warm water with a bit of Tide powder mixed in, then have at it with my junky GE floor scrubber and let it do its thing and get all the dirt up out of the grooves...

Filters and battery packs are not free. A pack of bags is like $10 every year. Most people go several months on one bag. I am not sure what it is with this generation thinking buying bags is day trading on the stock market. One pack of bags is not going to sink your 401k dude.

Does anyone keep this hobby a secret?

I've been mocked for it many times. People see it akin to collecting cans off the street or something, I dunno. Joke is on them with how much vintage vacuums sell for, you could pretty much buy a car with what you get for them.

Looking for motor for Panasonic MC-663 upright

I wouldn't cut anything out, out of risk of compromising the motor's performance or suction.

Yes you also have to make sure the electrical plating doesnt get removed from the metal either.

The super powerful dependable Dyson! Defeated by 1970's carpet technology! :devilish:🙀

Any info about this "vintage" Eureka canister vacuum?

Eureka Style H? Or Style B?

Very easy repair. Hardware stores sell corrugated hose tubing just like that, or you can find a matching diameter hose from any number of small Shop Vacs and cut to fit.

Looking for motor for Panasonic MC-663 upright

Just go slow and carefully so you don't bend the metal. I would try a sturdy chisel and a mallet and just try and work it in the crack and hopefully it starts sliding apart. It's always a challenge making something come apart that was not designed to come apart.

That's unfortunately a tall ask for the stick vacs. What happens is people think they can do their entire house with it, and they clog it up and it fails. This is the kind of room they built the stick vacs for:
