Ok everybody I want to see your compact or tri star vacuum. Im going to show my c2 soon.

First you need to take out the screws at the bottom if there are any. After that there is a area where you insert a flathead screwdriver and pop off the top. You should here a click and it will be removed. Check the lightbulb area to. The cover will come off. Hope this helps.

yah just take off the front cover. If the tubes look old just og to the aquarium shop and buy the new stuff. Look for the greenish blue stuff it bends alot easier. That should do the trick. Its probably that. I had to do that with a lx I had.

Dave thanks Dave I did check the cord. 5 times. It has to be the cord the motor looks fine. Since im in there do yah think I should put on new brushes. When I was looking around it looked like somebody just took a black cord and stuck it in there with a knot to keep it in. It looks like the one...
