    New Hoover/Oreck Upright

also can anyone tell me WHY this machine is priced at $800??? One would have to be on heavy meds to choose this over the Sebo Felix...

    Hoover Convertible Bag Mystery

That off-color next to the H is really the inner paper bag showing thru the perforation. And the bag couldnt be for a model 64 since the 64 and 65 use different size bag rings, no? I guess that for a spell Hoover used the same bag materials for replacement bags to fit 64, 65, and 67. Cool bag...

    New Hoover/Oreck Upright

David Oreck is not gonna be happy... What i dont understand is, TTI had the chance to correct one of Orecks major shortcomings: the silly narrow agitator with those weird, useless edge brushes. They could have easily designed a machine with edge-to-edge sweeping action. Instead they copy the...

    Eureka Model 260

Bud, sit down and think it thru. If your 260 bag is like mine (likely is) you will see that the cloth bag and throat are sewn together to make one piece. Its held onto the bag ring with a metal band. Remove the metal band, use a seam ripper to undo the stitches holding the sateen to the throat...

    miele fans only ;-))

Fab pics. I like the cylinders up front too. What do the tools look like? Do they use a cloth bag?

Yo Seamus! So that machine is all original?? Wild. Looks like it has a dirt tube muffler, like the US Conquest upright. Those machines arent too loud and with that muffler it would be even quieter. About that outer bag: I ordered a NOS Hoover bag made of that same material not too long ago...

    New Base Pan For Sentria

The various metal castings of the g-series are very well designed, and lightweight. Its that damn drive system that adds the tonnage! And it was those overweight Classic-era castings that inspired the addition of a drive system, it seems. The Royal machines of the 70s and 80s have proven that...

    Anyone recognize this Convertible?

U4115-001 followed this same machine. Identical except for Lexan main casting.

    This?

    Hoover Guardsman

Yes, Hoover switched to plastic fans on their Convertibles even when the main castings were still aluminum. Is the original bag on yours? IMO the original hounds tooth patterned outer bag is a little too orange for the machine. My Guardsman is shamelessly non-original, with a genuine Hoover...

    Eureka Model 260

eu7140 No, that is the skinny-tread wheel. larger diameter, wont work. The wheel im talking about was never used on the 1400 series. HOWEVER, on that same page of the tip top pdf, just below the skinny wheel, is eu7144. It is described as being a front wheel but looks IDENTICAL to the wheel...

    Eureka Model 260

PS Just checked Hesco and both the genuine Eureka and aftermarket replacement for the part number i just gave is NLA. If your machines wheels are the same or compatible with the ones used on my version of model 260, you should know that the same style wheels were used into the 1970s. This was...

    Eureka Model 260

The wheels on *MY* model 260 look identical to the wheels on my early 70s Eureka #2055. Part #458111. The LEAST the seller can do is furnish these replacement wheels to you FREE OF CHARGE. When purchasing a vintage upright i ALWAYS advise the seller on the importance of protecting the wheels...

    Canister Question...

Hard question, Fred! My first thought was this machine, but i think Panasonic has stopped making this exact style. Who knows whats new about the new designs, other than cosmetics?

    A new-to-me Kirby!

think ive seen the small head on ebay. will a Legend II belt lifter fit on a Sanitronic nozzle? Can you simply make your own small nozzle? i prefer the narrower nozzles too.
