Electrolux attachments & accessories - additional images

What is cool is that hard floor brush. Those are not two different floor brushes in the 2nd and 3rd image. That is the famous Electrolux USA flip over floor brush. One side for hard floors ( 2nd image ) and the other side is for carpets and rugs ( 3rd image ). At the back of the carpet side...

I own a Smart Vac 4870! Now what?

I wouldn't assume a partnership of any kind. Aerus has bought their power nozzle belts from three different vendors.

    Smelly Vacuum Hose

Leave it outside. Since it's an electric hose I don't think you want to soak it in anything. Air and maybe a fan blowing through it. On some hoses you can push a rag soaked in alcohol through using a long pole but not sure with a Rainbow hose if that is possible.

I own a Smart Vac 4870! Now what?

3M/Filtrete is just a supplier. Bissell and Eureka don't make vacuum bags. They buy them from another company and have their branding put on them. Same for filters and belts.

    1988 Electrolux z2010 - How to remove/bypass suppressor?

That's an idea. They might even have one from a burned out motor they could spare. Thanks !

Stalk ebay. They turn up. One sold last month.

    Electrolux Prolux

I don't think the design is owned by the Chinese. They just build what you pay them to build. The company to ask is Nationwide Sales in New York. They own the rights to the Perfect and Clean Obsessed brand names and, at least from what I have read, are the company who is responsible for the...

    1972 Vac Shop's Multi-Brand Model Price List—Household & Commercial Vacs / Floor Polishers / Carpet Shampooers

During WWII there were no home appliances being made, by law. No new cars, no new washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, vacuums, furniture, blenders, mixers, you name it. All the appliance manufacturers were making things for the military. Women could not buy nylons because nylon was needed...

    Electrolux Prolux

My understanding is that the Pro-Team, Perfect and Aerus Heavy Duty uprights all come off the same assembly line in China. But I have been wrong on these things before ..................... O_O Not sure where Prolux slots in to the puzzle.

    1972 Vac Shop's Multi-Brand Model Price List—Household & Commercial Vacs / Floor Polishers / Carpet Shampooers

They had a "Compact C-1" ( assume they meant a Model 1, there was no C-1 ) for sale in 1972? Wow. Those were produced during WWII for TWA and were replaced by the C-2 immediately after the end of the war. Were these used vacuums or new?

You don't even read your own sources carefully. We read them and find that the claims you make are not supported by the information in the sources you provide. If you find us toxic then just go. No one is forcing you to post here. We will all be happier if you go.

    1988 Electrolux z2010 - How to remove/bypass suppressor?

I have. I buy motors direct from Domel and have asked them if they have a solution but no luck. I am to the point where I know people there like Tanja Demsar and Spela Kavcic. They send me invites to big vacuum industry shindigs in Europe, not that I could go but still.

I own a Smart Vac 4870! Now what?

Electrolux AB of Sweden bought Eureka back around 1974, after which they split off the Sanitaire line of commercial vacuums as a stand alone company. but still part of the Electrolux Group The Electrolux Group's brand for bags and filters is Menalux. Arm & Hammer is an American company owned...

This little Yamaha receiver followed me home

Most of us are kind of spring loaded to assume the worst when something doesn't work ( or when a pet is sick too ) but often the problem is something simple and easy to remedy. Look for the easy fixes first.

    Hoover Anniversary self-propelled windtunnel.

I have seen that rod for sale many times. So when you pull back on the handle it changes the direction of the Powerdrive to reverse? Slick.

    1988 Electrolux z2010 - How to remove/bypass suppressor?

The plastic piece on top of the motor with the six fins and the post for the tension spring is what I would need to make it stay in place and not spin around in a D720 - D745. If I could get that plastic piece with the six fins that is attached to the brush and bearing bracket I could probably...

    Hoover Anniversary self-propelled windtunnel.

Question, does the Hoover Powerdrive work in both directions? If only forward do you shut it off to pull the vacuum backwards? Kind of curious how it works.

    New rotary phone

We keep an old Western Electric first generation touch tone phone for the same reason. They run on line power when the power is out.

This little Yamaha receiver followed me home

Make sure your cables are good, that the contacts are clean and there isn't a dirty / dead spot on a switch. It is probably something really simple.
