    21 Cyclone Vacuum?

Shark Infinity I believe this is the Shark Infinity, manufactured by Euro-Pro. It's available in Best Buy and Linens-N-Things. I haven't tried one out, but I've heard it's decent--still, the cyclone technology is not as good as Dyson as it does not filter as well. Again, this is just what I've...

Advice Needed - Best Upright for Health Reasons?

Lindhaus This is a tough call--where I went to college, when the contract with Windsor expired they replaced them all with Lindhaus. They are both very solid machines--I give the edge to Lindhaus. I do believe they are more expensive, though.

    Fantom Vacuums

Dyson predecessors Tom, I would LOVE to see pictures of the CMS, Cyclon, and Vectron, if you get a chance to post them. I have a 1st-gen Fantom Thunder that I like quite a bit, the only downfall being that it's a very large and heavy machine.

I am gettn a oreck xl ulra for x-mas!!!

Buster B Andy, I have no doubt the Buster B can pick up a 16 lb. bowling ball, but this is static suction. Where the Buster B really falls short is the bag--it is so small (and made of paper) that it clogs VERY quickly, bringing airflow in that machine to nothing pretty quickly. Sure, if you...

    ORECK UPRIGHT

Oreck The Oreck does do a decent job on bare floors because of the squeegee-type blade behind the brushroll, but the Kenmore will do well also with the brushroll shut off. If you have Berber you need to be careful about how stiff the bristles are--if you're looking at paying Oreck money you...

    ORECK UPRIGHT

Andy It depends if you want the vacuum for your collection, or to actually clean with--the Oreck is more of a unique item, the Kenmore progressive (especially the bagged ones) clean MUCH better, and represent a better value. I have a 1997 XL with the switch on the base, and the normal (non...

    Viking Vacuum

Colovacman I didn't even try bidding on it, I was just going to swipe it at the end, until I realized that I was going to have a hard time finding parts. Congratulations, though, I'm glad it went to someone who appreciates it as something unique. Let me know if it works out for you with the handle.

Bissell HealthyHome bagless vacuum,Hoover fusion,DirtDevil reaction

So does the Dyson outperform the Iridium as well? You state that the Iridium is the BEST vacuum available right now--how does it fare vs. the DC07?

Miele Capricorn vs Sebo Airbelt C3 vs Riccar 1800

Dysonman Not to get off-topic but I'm curious as to how the new MotorHead compares with the Iridium--I know you may be limited on what you can say, but I'm wondering if I should buy the Iridium or hold off for the release of the MotorHead (unfortunately, budget constraints say I can't get both).

    Viking Vacuum

Viking A Viking upright, that I would have liked very much, recently sold on ebay for $12.50. I was willing to pay that amount (easily!) as the machine was NEW with hose and extra bags/belt, with one caveat--it had no handle, which has the switch and cord assemblies. I probably could have...

    here you guys go

Those machines look pretty gruff--at least get a leaf blower if you're going to have a sale! Still, I would be a liar if I said I wouldn't be like a little kid in a candy shop there.

    Oreck Upright

Powr-Flite Looks identical to this one, which rules out the possibility of it being something made by Oreck... http://www.vacuumcleaners.net/vacuum_cleaners/products/powr_flite_pf14_14_comme_629.html

    Oreck Upright

Isn't this the upright that Oreck used to sell before they came out with the Dualstack? (I think it was called the Bigfoot). Who makes/made this machine? Looks similar to a Clarke or Sebo. Although, the lettering is different than the Bigfoot and the seller claims it is brand new...

    GE MV2 Portable Vacuum

Whirlpool Upright Bigbubbacain, if you still have that Whirlpool upright I would love to see it. From what I understand the XL uprights are carbon copies of this original Whirlpool design. I have never seen one.

    Oreck Canister

Dutchtech I know the Dutchtech is a pricey machine, but it looks interesting. Any idea who makes it? I have heard good things about it as far as performance goes, and that it is very quiet.

    Mighty Maid

Vorwerk The only two vacs I have ever seen with a similar arrangment are the vintage Air-Way uprights, and the Vorwerk from Germany, which was sold here for a short time in the 1980s.

    Handy Way

The bags for the Royal Pony vacuum might fit, or possibly Air-Way, though I'm not familiar with the latter. That looks like a Metropolitan vacuum that was possibly re-branded.

    Rug Doctor - anyone used?

Check Ebay Just wanted to throw in my $0.02 that sometimes a search on ebay yields good results--I have seen many on there as the current trend of replacing carpeting with laminate flooring sweeps the nation. My only advice would be to avoid the red machines at all costs, as these are not sold...

    New Aerus

Wow, thanks for the pictures and info, Mike! That is a VERY clean machine. If I ever make it back to the UK, I'll be on the lookout for one of those. Some of that European Electrolux stuff is so cool!

    New Aerus

Electrolux Are those two-motor vacs? How is the brushroll? I had a European Electrolux (branded as Viking) canister a few years ago with a Eureka p/n that I really liked--unfortunately, bags were hard to find and the hose eventually broke. I would love to find one of those E-lux/Viking uprights...
