Got the Brush Out, but I might need a new spring

I live in El Paso. I have that name because I am hoping to move to Phoenix in early 2016, once I am done with college.

Got the Brush Out, but I might need a new spring

Also the bag barely puffs up. What does this mean? I am not sure how many maps the motor has.

Got the Brush Out, but I might need a new spring

So I got the brush out, but I bent one of the springs too hard. The springs were literally stuck, and I had to get a screw driver and get them unstuck. I did not realize there was a tiny clip that holds them in. So I pushed one of them so hard up, to the point where it bent. The other spring did...

Someone please help me, I think I am missing parts

Well I figured it out. I am supposed to put that black thing into that square hole, where the bag attached. No wonder the bag keeps coming off when I put it down. I thought it was a screw. Seems like nothing was missing after all. Silly me.

My New Vintage Eureka Commercial Vacuum Cleaner

Wow, Im going to really have to do work on it. So now I am thinking nothing at all got replaced on this machine. Maybe the bag, but it feels old. Though I am not sure. I also want to put a Sanitaire bumper guard on this.

Someone please help me, I think I am missing parts

I think that piece is for the bag, though I am not sure. I found an area below the handle where you screw that piece with the holes in. I did that, and I put that tiny piece on, and I think this actually holds the bag in. If not, then there is not hole to screw that tiny piece in. Here is a pic.

The Brush is Stuck Glued Tight!!!

And yes, there are metal spring clips. I just might need to clean it first, then i will be able to take the brush out.

The Brush is Stuck Glued Tight!!!

Well, I thought it was in good condition. I think I should have paid at least $80 for it including shipping. $130 is like the price of something vintage and that works and that is clean. This machine is really dirty. I might need a whole day to restore it. It's going to cost more money to...

My New Vintage Eureka Commercial Vacuum Cleaner

This is the machine that is replacing the Eureka Boss. I am shipping out the old Boss tomorrow to the user who will take care of it. Anyways, I got this machine off ebay for $130 in total including shipping. I was very disappointed with this. 1. I think it is missing some small parts. 2. The...

The Brush is Stuck Glued Tight!!!

Look for a new thread I am about to post. You will see how dirty and rusty the machine is. I also think it is missing some small parts and a small screw to hold the bag in. For sure, I will need to really restore this machine. But it has a nice sounding smooth metal motor.

The Brush is Stuck Glued Tight!!!

Well, I thought all was going well, until I tried to put a belt in it. It happens the brush is glued in really tight. It is not removable. I have no idea what to do. I got scammed on ebay. The guy said it works very well. This is a disaster. I have no idea how to get the brush out at all. I do...

Someone please help me, I think I am missing parts

Isn't there supposed to be a silver piece of metal on this part of the cord? Also, I think I am missing a screw for the bag.

Someone please help me, I think I am missing parts

Like is this part supposed to be for the bag? But then aren't I missing another part like this for the cord? Also the machine came in all beat up, because the guy did not bubble wrap it. I am a little disappointed. It was not properly packed. It does work though. It sounds like a Sanitaire 641...

Someone please help me, I think I am missing parts

I got my new vintage Eureka Commercial Vacuum today. It has a metal fan and it sounds like an early 70s commercial vacuum!!! But I am having a lot of trouble putting it together. I think it's missing some parts. I will take pics and show you. Like the part where the bag attaches is missing...

Getting a new vacuum on Monday

I have a feeling it might be from late 70s early 80s, because it has a plastic fan.

Getting a new vacuum on Monday

It has a label like that, same base, same style, no vents, except it's gray. How long did Eureka use that label for?

Getting a new vacuum on Monday

Yes, it's a gray Eureka Commercial Vacuum. It is Vintage because it has the 70s Eureka label. I'll see if I can find a pic of what the label looks like. I would love to know when Eureka stopped using this label.

Getting a new vacuum on Monday

On Monday, I will be getting my Vintage Eureka Commercial Vacuum!!! I am really excited about it. I hope to post pictures of it. I have a feeling it's going to sound exactly like a Sanitaire. And then I will be doing the replacement.

I am guessing the motor sounds like this on the machine? Like this or similar.
