    Lux Z65 help required.

Guys and Gals, I have become the proud owner of a Lux Z65, (one from my childhood memories) courtest of kirbymodel2c, James. :D:D:D:D She is in need of a little TLC however and requires a new end piece. The end where the hose goes into the machine is chipped and damaged to such a degree that...

    My new....

Nice addition !!!!! James, She looks good doesn't she. She sounded absolutely sweet when we ran her up. I don't think you could wish for a better runner. Not nasty noises as the wound down, and she did so slowly and smoothly. I am sorting you a roundel which is a little smoother than the one...

Here is my latest aquisition. Uber rare. I know of two others.,

At last I have one of these rare birds of my own. Long after the Junior U1012 was discontinued as the main model in the UK junior line up came this catalogue special. This is finished in a colour scheme very reminiscent of the original 1346 of 1967, but was around 15 years later in 1982...

    Hoover Turbopower killed by.....

NIGHTMARE James dude, That is just sooooooooooo wrong. The 2336 is known to be made of glass, but this is ridiculous. Will email you later. Bloody shoddy packing. I presume you are going to try to get something back? Happy hoovering, Clark. If you are on Windows Live, find me via my email...

    Oreck XL with Bad Motor

MIght be simple. Hi Bill, You might want to ensure that the carbon brushes in the motor are not simply worn out. If they do not make good contact with the commutator then they will produce excessive sparking and may well end up with a loss of power of complete open circuit causing the motor to...

Hoover Junior 370 - polished alloy

Seen one other like this. Guy's I am sure that the Paul Linnell collection has one 370 polished up just like this one. It was NOT factory fresh like this, and was polished rather than repainted when it was restored. I know mine is a painted finish, albeit restored rather well by its previous...

    Late model Hoover Junior U1012.

Guys and gals, I have recently aquired a late U1012, this is the stupidly rare Catalogue model from the early 1980's. It is fairly complete, however it is missing its furniture guard. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE is there anyone out there who happens to have a brown 1346 furniture guard which is...

    Tiny "Henry" Desktop Vacuum Cleaner!

But they're so cute!!! :D Guys, I know that the little Henry desktop vacuum is barely more than useless as a cleaning machine, but it is SOOOO adoreable. LOL. I think that most of its lack of ability is from the fact that it runs on 2 AA size batteries, total 3v. If somehow I could work out...

    My New Hoover just in.....

Chris. There were no machines this side of the pond with quite that much style! LOL The only ones we had were the old 65 style, up to the 1970's when the U4002 ranger, then U4003 saw a brief period (post US release, I think only seen for one batch in 1974), Then we had the ranger style...

    My New Hoover just in.....

Nice one James! :D This one is the same as the old girl I rescued before Christmas. Mine has a boxed set of mint tools, well near mint! :D This looks like the last version with no metal reinforcement bar on top of the bag, and the flat pressed aluminium Hoover roundel. Mine is a mid term...

    Hoover 913

U7008. The 912 912A U7008 and C1312 are the UK variants of this design, first seen in 1940 as the model 90. This is by far my favourite cleaner of all time. I have very fond memories of this machine from my early school days in the early 80's. The caretaker at my junior school used a U7008...

Crazy eBay prices in Oz as well ...

Not that old either. This partucular model 100 is the later model, it has the slide on/off switch. The original has a rocker switch. I have 3 of these too, in various states of disrepair. 1 is boxed, and an early model. The box graphics are the same as those for the toolset I have for my 750...
